request for referral - mental illness case focus

I received a request for help from a mother in New Jersey. Since it is outside my practice I asked (and received) her permission to post to the group. I will relay any responses. Thank you for your help.

Dr. Rona,

Do you work with patients who are seriously mentally ill? My daughter is 17 and is currently hospitalized at XXXXXXX, PA. She has been taking large doses of various medications there for the past year yet she remains oppositional, narcissistic and generally unstable. We've never tried anything homeopathic. She has been medicated since she was 5.

Recently, she has begun hearing voices. I am reaching out to see if there is another path that we might try. She is unhappy, but unable to manage her behavior to improve her own life. I'm afraid that I might not have her in the right program.

Do you or any of your colleagues treat patients like this? Are there residential centers that work with young adults with severe mental illness using homeopathic or holistic remedies? Please let me know if you can help us or guide us.

there is definite treatment option in homoeopathy...plz let me know
esp in which area u want of find any residential management...

Thank you. I have assured her that homeopathy is an excellent therapeutic approach to be used as part of her daughters health and healing program. This is definitely not a request for diagnostic or treatment help over the list. She is looking for a homeopath and/or residential treatment facility in the New Jersey area with substantial psychological expertise. Can you refer any specific individual or residential treatment facility?
