New truly fascinating research on tadpoles and homeopathy!
Dear Friends...
For many years, a group of researchers in Austria has experimented
with homeopathic doses of THYROXIN (a thyroid hormone). They have given it
to tadpoles and found that it slows down their morphogenesis into frogs.
This effect makes sense from a homeopathic point of view because this
thyroid hormone in material doses normally speeds up the tadpoles evolution
into frog-dom.
This research has now been replicated many times, and what is so
interesting is that the researchers can show the differences in photos
between those tadpoles given the homeopathic medicine and those given a
placebo.
This study below was replicated in FIVE laboratories!
Does pretreatment with thyroxin (10-8 M) enhance a "curative" effect of
homeopathically prepared thyroxin (10-30) on highland frogs? Results of a
multi researcher study. Welles, S.U., Suanjak-Traidl, E., Weber, S.,
Scherer-Pongratz, W., Frass, M., Endler, P.C., Spranger, H., Lothaller, H.:
Accepted by Research on Complementary Medicine / Forschende
Komplementärmedizin 2007
This study is very fascinating because they show that homeopathic
thyroxin again slows down morphogenesis of tadpoles into frogs, BUT this
effect is negated when the liquid homeopathic doses are exposed to cell
phones and by early model microwave ovens, but NOT by airport X-rays or red
light barcode scanning.
The effect of homeopathically prepared thyroxin (10-30 parts by weight) on
highland frogs is influenced by electromagnetic fields

Thanks for forwarding this info, Dana.
I had heard from another person that their remedies seemed to be affectedy by carrying them in their bag with their mobile phone. This seems to provide evidence that it was true. I hope more research is done in this area as there are so many different types of EMF's and radiation that were not present in the past - we need to know what is doing what to our remedies.
As an aside, and in light of the past discussion about microwaves, it does make you wonder if microwaves are just another form of heating if they can negate the effects of remedies. What might they do to vital aspects of food? As we are absorbing this vitality when we eat and not just their nutrients, it is probably an issue.

Any boiling water will negate a remedy - it's how you wash out a remedy
bottle. Does that mean that boiling water for tea, messes up the tea?
No.
Does that mean having a microwave oven a few feet from the remedy
collection spoils them? No. Mine work just fine:-) The microwave
contains its wavelengths. Does that mean a stove near the remedy
collection spoils them? No. Near a TV has more chance of damage.... or
near a cellphone, assuming (big assumption) microwaves do any harm to
remedies in the first place.
Let's be logical a bit here:-)
Have we tested whether boiling water in an oven or on the stove wrecks
remedies (or tea) more than boiling water in a microwave? No. It's the
HEAT- the boiling - that does it - not the microwaves.
What microwaves can do is a separate issue - and applies for example if
you used microwaves on live individuals (as in cellphones and TV - not
as in microwave ovens).

Re: New truly fascinating research on tadpoles and homeopathy!
Have you had the chance to read the full study yet, Irene?
I haven't but will try to make time this evening.
I am assuming the researchers only exposed the remedy to the microwaves rather than boiled them. As we all know that boiling remedies neutralises them, boiling them by microwave would seem to be a little pointless.
Lets read the study.
I do know that my husband, contrary to my instructions
, keeps some of his remedies within centimetres of his VDU and computer. They work just fine.

Ah, maybe that’s why I don’t leave my cell phone turned on—I carry one of the Washington Homeopathic 18 remedy emergency kits in the same purse. But I notice that Dana’s article says “liquid homeopathic doses” are affected by cell phones and early-model microwave ovens. It does not mention dry pellets inside heavy plastic and glass bottles. Thanks, Hennie! Very interesting, though I am not sure of the relevance of
that study to the one Dana pointed out. I will forward this to my son who
does indeed use his cell phone as an alarm clock. Teresa (Northern VA)

Re: New truly fascinating research on tadpoles and homeopathy!
I have now had a look at the studies.
The remedies tested with the EMF of microwave ovens were placed BESIDE an old version oven for 100 seconds - obviously no chance of boiling here. Older microwave ovens have a higher leakage than modern ovens, which still leak. The remedies were not tested against modern ovens so we do not know if modern ovens will or will not affect remedies.
On the basis of this repeated research, I would question if microwave ovens affect vital (energetic) aspects of food.
A concerning thing in relation to mobile (cell) phones is that the remedies were affected even when placed 25 centimetres away from the phone. They were not tested at a greater distance than that.

A couple of other points - the liquids were in glass. The study does say that shielding the remedies in aluminium foil gave little protection. Remedies were not tested in dry pilules which may be more durable, but we do not know. I do not think plastic will provide much protection.

Yes, It's about using microwave energy on remedies - which is not
something I'd advocate whether it was from TV, cellphone or *inside* a
microwave oven.
Modern microwave ovens do NOT leak microwaves - unlike the old junk
one used in the study. So if you wanted to wreck your remedies with
microwaves you'd need to put them INSIDE the microwave oven and switch on.
It seems logical to me that treating a remedy with something that can
damage it, is not so smart.
It's like cooking blood in a microwave and then wondering why it does
not function in a live individual. EATING the blood however would be no
problem.
Looking for nutrition and looking for live function are things I see
differently.
So far as we know, food (cooked or otherwise) provides nutrients - and
not live function. If indeed our food is providing more than nutrients,
for example "hidden homeopathic remedy action" then we have yet to
discover this - and if we do then we will need to stop all forms of
cooking it, as they all essentially "boil" the food particles. I see no
evidence for this, anywhere.
Microwaving them will indeed boil aspects of the liquid remedy, it's how
microwave heat works to heat liquid. I would be surprised if microwaving
a *liquid* remedy did no harm to it:-) I'd expect microwave cooking to
harm any liquid remedy - just as it harms blood and makes it unsuitable
for transfusion.
Every inch or foot of distance increases safety by an exponential
amount. The study shows significant harm to remedy only in some cases -
some were not statistically significant. But I'd not store remedies
anywhere they have potential for damage. It is *liquid* remedies that
are susceptible per the study.
