Underlying delusion - was Persistent dream

Post by Michael »

Hi Gail,

I never thought of this either, but Dr Roz' words
suggested it, so I thought that he uses this scheme
for dreams.
She had this dream 3 days ago, now it is the second
half of her menstrual cycle. Previous dreams cannot be
traced to the parts of the menstrual cycle already, as
time passed. But the dreams are always vivid, she
remembers several last dreams quite well. The dreams
are not connected to travels.

If we cure the physical presenting complaint,
functional or pathological, without taking into
account the underlying delusion, what happens to the
underlying delusion (core delusion)? Does it get cured
or not? Does it stay or does it go away? If it stays,
will the physical problem come back (in the same place
or in another one)?
What causes the appearance (creation) of the
underlying delusion?

Best regards, Michael
