Hello,
I will be very grateful to you if you would indicate the main remedies for TORN MUSCLES --
I treat an acute case of a torn thigh muscle, where Arnica does not seem to help much and the patient has pains and difficulties in walking.
TIA

Re: TORN MUSCLE -- Acute case -- HELP nedded
Just curious - I thought those rubrics were for the 'sensation' of tearing in the muscles rather than a physically torn muscle. If the individual described the pain as tearing, I would use these, but I don't think I would use them otherwise. Do you interpret these as for a physically torn muscle?
Re: TORN MUSCLE -- Acute case -- HELP nedded
You are probably quite correct! with your comments! But pain was mentioned. Personally I think I would probably go for Calendula which wasn't mentioned below in the hopes it would heal the muscle!!
OK I have just been to my 4 exercise, sports injury books and only 1 mentioned muscle tears!!! It suggested Arnica followed by Calendula!!!!

If the muscle is really completely torn, ripped apart, cut in two, he needs surgical repair, then homeopathy; otherwise the scarring process will create eventually an elongated muscle with little valid function.
That is a mechanical problem, if I understood well.

Hi! there,
Don't you think that this patient should be referred to an allopathic
doctor? A surgeon in particular.
Thanks.

Hi,
Many thanks for all the replies.
The patient was referred to a surgeon and uses homeopathy in the meantime.

Rafy
