Dr.Riaz-
There are many works on mother tinctures and their use in homeopathy-
All of Burnett's works deal with using mother tinctures in various
ways; even though his use of mother tinctures, most of the time is
about using them as Organ remedies. I would also suggest looking at
the works of Eli Jones, RT Cooper etc. But in modern homeopathy we do
not use mother tinctures a lot when the remedies are symptomatically
indicated- mostly potencies are used.

Thanks soroush,

It mean if we want to cause any symptoms like an
mother tincture has the ability to produce and we
think it is the cure it would be rightful? For example
Croton Tig in mother tincture causes loose mothions
while in potency it cures loose motions.
So if there is a patients with constipation if we use
Croton Tig mother tincutre to cause Loose motion to
obtain cure from constipation, is it right?

with best wishes from chiniot Pakistan,

Homeopathic

Dear Mumtaz

Of course if Croton Tig is able to produce loose motions (as in a proving) -
then if some patient comes along with similar ' relevant' totality symptoms,
then C-tig should cure. That is the corner stone of homoeopathy.

You then state: "So if there is a patients with constipation if we use
Croton Tig mother tincture to cause Loose motion to obtain cure from
constipation, is it right?"
The answer is that what you are proposing is ANTIPATHY, not HOMOEOPATHY!
It cannot cure - it will suppress for a while.

MOTHER TINCTURE USE IS CORRECT IN HOMEOPATHIC PRACTICE?

Post by Didi Ananda Rucira »

Hi all,

We (in Kenya) make use of a lot of mother tinctures of all kinds. It is completely homeopathic in my view.

Tinctures are already in the category of "minimum dose" potency. It is a dilution of 1:10.

In fact in old days homeopaths used to give a few grains of material chemical compounds such as Kali Ars, Calc bro and the like as cure. Again on the basis of minimum dose. The same medicines were used in allopathy in "maximal" doses. Read Clarke, Boericke, Allen etc. to verify.

Dear Dr Riaz,

Didi and Hahnemannian2002 are both correct, and it's important to understand that. The dosage does not define homoeopathy: the relationship between the symptoms the drug causes in the healthy and the symptoms of the patient does.

Kind regards,

John

I beg your pardon -- I meant to refer specifically to Soroush (Finrod)'s post rather than to Hahnemannian2002's, as it was Soroush who advised you of that relationship.

Cheers --

John
