fear of heights

Post by Gail »

Would appreciate any experience of remedies with a fear of heights.
This person talks about never being able to quite reach the top, not
quite making it, and also says the fear of heights is because she fears
she will jump, loses her sense of time and space, and needs to hold on
to something, doesn't like the thought of feet not being on the ground.

She does have a lot of Arg nit type fears and anxieties, but I would
like to consider some other remedies as well.

Gail.

Dear Gail

Is this not more a fear of falling rather than heights and also failure
MIND - FEAR - falling, of
MIND - FEAR - failure, of

If you take just these two
you end up with Lac-c; Gels, Arg-n, China and Sil

Hoe this is helpful.

Questioning on how long she has had these fears and what started them off
may be useful.

Also I think the "never quite reaching the top" theme relates to one of
Scholten's stages--tho I don't know which; somewhere near the middle of
the table. (I realize this is speculative, but some are finding it
helpful...)

Thanks for these thoughts Soroush,

Yes you're right it is a fear of falling, of not having her feet on
the ground, for some reason when she is up high, or crossing a bridge
she feels she in not on the ground, maybe this is where the impulse
to jump comes from - an urgent need to return to ground.

She also struggles with flying - here the thought processes are that
she could make the plane crash using her mindpower, so she has to
control her mind so this doesn't happen, even though she knows
logically that her mind is not that powerful. I hadn't realised this
is similar to that impulse to jump - her impulsive mind is doing
everything it can to get her back to earth, and she has muster all
her resources to hold on, to stay controlled, and convince herself
that she is safe.

Thanks for the stage thing Shannon - I see that Arg nit and Aurum are
both stage 11 - which is supposed to be holding on after reaching the
top which happens at stage 10, and interestingly I see that both
Aurum and Arg are listed under the rubric
SUICIDE - throwing himself from a height.

Hi Gail,
I hope you'll let us know what works out! (It sure does *sound* like
arg-nit; could the nitricum part be what brings the impulsivity?? I'm
a total novice with the stages, and no time to learn right now,
argh...)
:-)

Dear Gail,
The best remedy for fear of heights is Baryta Carb!

Cheers,
Sandeep

Hi Sandeep,

Why do you think this - what experience have you had that has
convinced you of this?

Gail.
