I agree with Dr. R -- you sort of have to clear out the previous remedies somehow, and rebalance the case. The suggestion of the steroids in that quick format, and the acupuncture, were both fascinating ones. Dr. R, how many acupuncture treatments are generally needed for this purpose?
Sulphur is often cited as a remedy that helps to reset a case after abuse of remedies or medications.
There's also this rubric, which doesn't refer to resetting the case, but does allude to one of the resulting problems:
GENERALS - REMEDIES - fail to act; well selected remedies
alum. camph. carb-v. Carc. laur. Mosch. op. psor. stram. sulph. teucr. ther. tub. valer.

Usual answer........as many as it takes........depends on the depth of pathology and the patient's sensitivity and reaction to the treatment.......
