Heady

Post by ehc »

Hello everyone,

could I please ask of your wisdom some suggestions for rubrics or remedies
to look at for the following.

I cannot give you as much information as I would like but something in this
may strike a cord with you, hopefully :-)

zonked out as soon as food hits stomach'. 'Like a vapour comes up into head
and eyes , feeling foggy'. Says bowel area in right eye turns green and hazy
at the time. Feels 'the bacteria is the problem'

sometimes feels better when taking alfalfa

history of guilt from young age
feels inferior
fearful of being watched
conflict with controlling mother
always felt left out and alone and angry
mood swings when tired

Medical persons had her on progesterone troche but made worse.

has been taking herbal formula to balance hormones/endocrine system and
address gut imbalance
patient has been taking lactobacillus/bifidus formula with 8 bacteria
caprylic acid and glutamine for gut

Patient also says breasts have 'come back again' which is great but Patient
was doing much better then started having a couple of beers every
night for a few weeks and stopped taking some of medications.

Now has gone downhill again.

I am looking at Puls again and possible low potency chel.

Could you please make suggestions for the overall case and in particular
anything towards the heady feeling after eating, perhaps taking into account
bowel nosodes

thanks

Beverly

Looking at bowel nosodes sounds like a good idea
see www.localcomputermart.com/homeopathy/ for d/l of Paterson's.

Some of these symptoms sound a lot like "chronic candidiasis" -which can
respond extremely positively to an intestinal cleanse, along the lines of
the book "Cleanse & Purify Thyself" (I speak from a great deal of painful
experience, followed by a decade symptom free)
see http://www.relaypoint.net/~ans/colon.html
(the psyllium & bentonite are cheaper at local healthfood store; the book &
herbal products recommended would be hard to duplicate otherwise.)

I would be very interested to know why you think the bowel nosodes would be
a good idea - and which one in particular? Joy Lucas

From the author of the articles Dave recommended:

"One last remark, and that of warning, do no repeat a bowel nosode within
three months; but if it is necessary to prescribe, select a remedy within
the group, and give the remedy in high or low potency as you find indicated
from the symptoms present.

Finally, do not expect too much from these bowel nosodes, and then be
disappointed in their use. They are valuable therapeutic agents when
properly used, and their great value is in the treatment of chronic disease,
in cases which are generally considered to be very resistant to any form of
treatment. "

As far as I am concerned, bowel nosodes should be used as any other
homoeopathic remedy - that is when indicated on the basis of symptom
similarity.

So a question that arises is who has done a proper proving of the nosodes
and where is the data pls?

Well, if you're interested, I'd suggest you read the MM on bowel nosodes
which I just uploaded to my webserver. www.localcomputermart.com/homeopathy/

If you're not THAT interested, then a couple of "my" reasons would be that
the case does seem centered in that area; one - Morgan (Bach) is known to be
useful in cases which somewhat responded to Puls; and is also noted for
gastric, liver, & hormone/menopause symptoms.

Excerpt from MM on Morgan (Bach)
B. Morgan is the type of non-lactose organism most frequently found in the
stool and it has the greatest number of associated remedies compared to
other types on the list.
The keynote for the Morgan group is contained in the word "Congestion" and
if this is used in the study of the various parts of the body affected it
will afford a good symptom picture of the pathogenesis of the B. Morgan.
Head
Congestive headaches, with flushed face; worse from hot atmosphere; thundry
weather, excitement; travelling in bus or train. Vertigo from high blood
pressure.
Mentals
Introspective, anxious and apprehensive about state of health;
irritability; avoids company but often shows mental anxiety if left alone.
Mental depression, often with suicidal tendency.
Digestive system
Congestion of gastric mucosa and liver; heart-burn, pyrosis, dirty tongue,
bitter taste in mouth in the morning with accumulation of mucus causing
gagging as soon as rises from bed. Congestion of liver; "bilious attacks"
with severe headache which is finally relieved by vomiting large quantities
of bile stained mucus. (A history of "bilious attacks", especially occurring
at the menopause in women should lead one to consider the use of the Morgan
Bach).
Cholecystitis, gallstone; constipation, hemorrhoids, pruritus ani.
==================

We've only seen a tiny "caselet" and by no means enough to Rx on, but I DO
think it's a good idea for the treating homeopath to look into the bowel
nosodes as she had expressed intent... although I do also believe on the
symptoms given that an intestinal cleanse might sweep away a "maintaining
cause" of this woman's dis-ease.
