Proving of Tiger

Post by rk p »

Hi,

Is any one aware of any proving done on Tiger?
If it is already done, where can I find the information on this remedy & the remedy itself?

Thanks,
Ram

#Introduction
PANTHERA TIGRIS
The Proving of Tiger's urine
Dr. Yogesh R.Vasandi B.H.M.S. (Mumbai), D.N.D.
The proving was initiated on 29th April 1997 with a group of 21 provers, which included homoeopathic students, interns, and doctors (homoeopaths & an allopath).
There was a spirited discourse about the pros and cons of a proving, the value of dreams and the status of health after the proving.
Dr Constantine Hering and Dr Edward Whitmont were quoted for the importance of dreams and their relation to homoeopathy. On being asked the reason for volunteering to prove, each prover had interesting answer. Some came forward to experience the Homoeopathic Materia Medica, some just for the sake of doing it and two participants joined the proving because they had no faith in homoeopathy! The Allopath joined in as she experienced relief in her bronchial asthma with homoeopathy, when all therapies had failed to help.

DOSE:
A single dose of 30 CH was administered at 5.00 p.m. to eleven volunteers. Seven others were on placebo, while the rest (three) were not very sure to take the dose due to the insecurity of testing something on their body. They eventually took the dose during the first long follow up after a week.

PROTOCOL:
The double blind protocol was followed for the proving along with the guidelines given by the Organon of Medicine, 6th edition and The Dynamics of Provings by Jeremy Sherr, London.

EFFECT:
Immediately on taking the dose, 2 provers experienced a dull pain on the left side of the occiput, aggravated by pressure. Another prover felt a pricking pain on the tongue after the pill touched it.
The proving follows shortly after the discussion on the source.

SOURCE:
The urine of a healthy Indian tigress (Panthera Tigris or Royal Bengal Tiger) in captivity was collected for preparing the potency. The tigress was a normal female according to the veterinary physician and the urine analysis showed no abnormality.

PREPRATION OF THE POTENCY:
A homoeopath - friend prepared the potency (30) according to the centesimal scale in his pharmacy.
