sciatic nerve pain

Post by sabyrah76 »

My hubby has woken up and can barely move. He has had sciatic nerve
pain for several days, worse from sitting and it's on the left side. I
have a 30c kit at home with about 29 things in it. The home care book I
have says Rhus Tox and Hypercam may be the most indicated remedies. Any
other suggestions?]

Hi Judy

Check the symptoms against Rhus Tox - which is often indicated - if so use
something like 200C, in water so that you can repeat often.

Then there are some gentle exercises which can help:
Fold a blanket along its length so you have 4 thickness.

The patient lies on his/her back on the blanket.
Slowly bring knees up so that soles of the feet are on the floor.

EVER SO GENTLY bring one knee up as far as comfortable.
Return
Repeat with the other leg.

Repeat 10 times

Then bring up both knees together towards the chest - go back - repeat 10
time.

The whole process to be repeated 4 times per day.

SLOW MOVEMENT IS THE KEY.

Although the sound is poor, you may find this site useful too

Sorry, Forgot to Paste it.

My Dad spent an entire year in sheer agony with what at least 3 - 4
specialists, including our top KwaZulu Natal Neuro Surgeon, claimed was
SCIATICA ... and that the ONLY solution was surgery. Then some old (as in
age :hihi:) friend suggested that he visit a podiatrist ... you know, those
who tend to feet. Well, he did so, without much confidence  yet
praying for anything other than surgery at the time ... and BLOW ME DOWN! He
had a pair of inner soles custom built just for him, and from the first day
that he wore them, has NEVER had any pain since ... that was +/- 3,5yrs ago!
:

This man explained how, as one ages, the bones begin to shrink, but not
always identically, so very often, an elderly person is walking with one leg
very slightly shorter than the other, and over time, this causes all sorts
of pain and complications.
Such a simple thing hey!
