Combos in fractures...

Post by Dana Ullman, MPH »

Friends,
Dr. Roz has posed a good exercise for us...what would you prescribe to a person who experienced a fracture in order to speed up the healing process?
Although he has asked us not to theorize, I'm going to theorize first and then say what I would do...
There is a difference between making a combination medicine from the FINALIZED potencies of various ingredients and a "mixture" of various ingredients that are potentized together (Hepar sulphur is an example of a mixture). The first is a combination medicine, while the second is a single remedy that needs to experience provings or clinical trials in order for us what it can heal. I assume that combination medicines maintain the integrity of their single components if they are potentized separately.
That said, to me, a combination medicine is not really a combination medicine, just like a single homeopathic medicine is not even a homeopathic medicine* until or unless a person's symptoms have some degree of SIMILARITY and thus some degree of hyper-sensitivity. Therefore, a single or combo medicine will be NOTHING unless the person's has RESONANCE with it.
A person with a fracture may have resonance with Arnica (for shock and injury to the soft tissue), with Hypericum (for nerve injury), Rhus tox (for connective tissue), Ruta (for connective tissue and bone), and Symphytum (for bone). If a person's body only has certain minor injuries, s/he will only resonant with the specific medicine that is known to cause that particular injury.
I personally think that homeopaths can provide the BEST treatment for serious injuries (such as fractures) by giving a combo medicine...and then, by giving a higher potency (30th or 200th) of a specific medicine (Arnica immediately after the injury), Hypericum later, Rhus tox after that, and Ruta or Symphytum after that...probably 2-4 doses of each for 6-12 hours before moving onto the next remedy.

* I'm NOT speaking in legal terms here because the definition of a homeopathic medicine is very specific. My reference here is more in light of medicines being homeopathic to a person (or not).
