Digest Number 393

Post by Hompierre »

IN the last responses I noticed that someone is suggesting a phone
consultation for a bi-polar case. I do not aggree with such advice. There are
homeopaths in most of the U.S. who could see this patient in their office.
Phone consultations are not proper especially for such a case, we are not
talking about a common cold. It is time to stop such a practice and refer to
each other in the proper locations rather than chasing patients around the
country. People don't get a first consultation with their doctor or
psychiatrist over the phone, do they? NO, nor should we. I understand that at
some point it might have been necessary but this is not true any longer and
those who do not wish to refer outside of themselves should truly check their
motivations. Because I have chosen to have somewhat of a public profile in
NYC I am often asked to recommend homeopath for a sister in Cal or father in
Chicago and I ALWAYS do. I hope this opens a discussion that I believe is
well overdue.
