Abhorrent Behaviour

I am shocked and appalled at the treatment I have received at the
hands of one Dana Ullman. After several polite and introductory
messages to my inbox today I realize I am not the only one.

After being told NOT to contact me again and after being told his
address would be blocked from my inbox – the industrious Mr. Ullman
decided to switch addresses and harass me further today.

He was also informed that if this behaviour continued I would
publish ALL of it at the discussion board.

I lack the time and patience for this kind of childish behaviour and
I apologise to all for taking this measure – and am doing so to
ensure that Dana Ullman does not repeat the same behaviour in the
future with any other participant within this group.

I'm anxious to know how the group responds to this kind of
personality and this kind of behaviour and if I'm still seen
as 'Syphilitic enough?' at the end of this colourful diatribe
created by Mr. Ullman.

That's bad. I've been stalked by someone on this list before, it is part of 'list/forum' aggression.

Walk away from it, turn your back, go for a long drive or walk, plant a tree, do something nice and it will dissolve.

I've been there too, and I agree with Joy's advice.
Both of you have got your egos "slammed in the door" so to speak, and
just need to get some distance. Not meaning to minimize the painful
effects of the matter to either...

I remember fondly the good ol' days of TOL when one poor chap (i.e. needed a RX) sent me a litany of diatribe railing against me, my kind and all my kith and kin plus all our ancestors with some most colourful analogies and metaphors thrown in for good measure, not to mention the wild accusations). This went on so long even I got bored.. He also subscribed me to over 150 different mailing lists.

How I miss those exciting times..*sigh*

The very same chap actually apologised to me quite a few years later, (which I naturally accepted - I had enjoyed every minute anyway)

My advice - don't take these things to heart - it's only a mailing list ! When you get bored with any of it, just filter the mails that get tedious.

Of to polish my hefty club, mustn't be late for the 'bash' tonight! lol

If any one feels that a member of the group is not behaving appropriately on
Minutus, then all they need to do is bring the matter to the attention of
either myself (on finrod@webstar.co.uk) or Dr Shahrdar. We will then
investigate the matter and take appropriate action.

However, what happens off list is completely beyond our control.

Hi Karen,

I have been the recipient of numerous really abusive pm's (not from
Dana) over the years on this list and others. So have others. Since it
is against netiquette to post these letter on the list and thus to
expose the senders - the only method is to ignore.

You can set your mail program to filter out by "entire text", not just
by "sender", I should think.
