hot flashes isolated parts

Post by sunny sunny »

I am having some interesting symptoms presented to me by perimenopausal women.

1. reports hot flashes only occur in the right ear. Ear turns beet red and sweats profusely. No perspiration on other body parts. there is a flush of warmth and sensation of heat in the ear. No pattern of when it comes on. 47 year old really fit woman who loves to exercise and stay busy all the time.

2. reports 3 occasions of her breasts becoming so hot that it has caused blisters on her abdomen. During this time if she lifts her breasts with her hands she instinctively drops them as they also burn her fingers. Small water blisters appear on her abdomen like an Apis burn then several will blend together to make a larger blister. She has not other rashes or burns on the folds of her skin and groin even though she is obese. It does not appear to be Candida to me. It takes almost two weeks for the burns to heal. Two times it appeared when she was in an herb shop and felt it might be an allergic reaction. It was also really hot temperature wise at that time. Then it happened when she was really cold in freezing temperatures and posed the question if it was a hot flash or she is concerned this may be a forerunner to spontaneous human combustion.
I was looking in Kent under perspiration single parts upper body

any other rubrics or suggestions?

Thanks,

Sunny

Wow! Getting blisters from the heat in one's own body parts is pretty unusual, as is the thought that she might be about to spontaneously combust!
There are a few rubrics for the heat in single parts -- For instance, these two:

FEVER heat burning single parts: sel.k zinc.h2

But the next rubric is undoubtedly a lot more complete, with 128 remedies:

FEVER External heat single parts
Other possible considerations:

MIND - She's certainly fearful that horrible things might happen to her!

SKIN eruption vesicles or urticaria warmth aggravates

Possible hormonal link (perimenopause) -- but this seems weak unless there's more information. I wonder if this set of symptoms signifies any possible cause other than hormone shifts (e.g., allergic, auto-immune.... -- if you can figure this out it might help a lot in selecting the remedy)

FEVER / heat from sudden change in temperature (Achyranthes is an interesting remedy to consider...especially given the dramatic nature of the symptoms and their mode of occurrence)

EAR - Heat/ redness right ear

It would, of course, help a lot to have more modalities, in addition to the ambient temperature extremes you cited. Like do warm or cold applications affect the discomfort, or is there any time or activity pattern to it?

Besides Achyranthes, you might be inclined to look carefully at Psorinum, Sepia (especially with the love of physical activity you cited), Phos, Sulph, Fl-ac, Bell, Camph -- depending on other aspects and especially the physical and emotional focal points and strongest modalities of the case.

I'll be interested in learning what works!

Warmly, Rosemary

1) Ear, heat, flushes + one sided (+ left or right whichever it is) + perspiration, single parts

2) Abdomen, perspiration + eruptions + burning heat in + Breasts, burning, under

Generally - Menopause <<

If these are 2 different people then (1) reads like Sepia, Calcarea but there are sx missing such as which side and all other sensations etc and (2) reads like Cimic
