Hi Luise,
Any time:-))
Um yes - it's a hobby-horse of mine to study constitutional types by
seeing them in animals especially (but not only) in cats.
There is actually a good bit of my findings and corroboration from
others through discussion - on my veterinary homeopathy list. You'd be
welcome to join and participate and/or read what's in the archives. The
new Yahoo search engine is really swish, especially if you use the
"advanced search" button and specify subject/author or whatever.

Here's a sample of a Phos constitutional type I wrote up some years ago
as a starter:
http://www.angelfire.com/fl/furryboots/catphos.html
(Please ignore the ads, they are not mine. One day when I find the
no-sleep-needed 54-hour day I need, I'll do an upgrade of my website)
Phos is not a small cat, though they are relatively fine boned. Sil is
physically small and *very* fine boned.
You will see all the different constitutional types in each breed.
The proportions which make them that constitutional type are all relative.
So a Phos Persian cat is relatively long-legged for a Persian (or a
collie or a Chihuaha or a cow or a lizard or a person etc), and Phos
Siamese cat is relatively long-legged for a siamese as well. It's that
the legs are long compared with the body. The tail is moderate but the
fur is very long (also relative to others of the breed or type or
species) especially at the tail tip so the tail looks longer than it is.
Phos fur is relatively flyaway and fine and "diffuses into the area
around them", and is uneven in length with some sticking out further
than the rest.
Sulf type:
These guys like to be clever and to wangle attention and have a
bulldozer physique - big-built and heavy to lift, with a thick short
neck, heavy jowls in males. They have a very wide chest box, though it
is quite shallow. (Puls is opposite - average width chest but VERY
deep.) Sulph drinks water by the punchbowl rather than by the cup, and
they love to play messily. Their coats need grooming as they don't care
what they look like and don't bother grooming to speak of - though they
are oddly fussy about other things like whether their food bowl has been
filled properly. They will be demanding and communicative about food,
and about territory. Given too little space (and they need a lot more
than average as territory), they will pace and spray - though the pacing
is not as intense as with Ars-alb. They are very strong, and can climb
where they wish but are more likely to be found lower down physically.
They are very inventive. For example Loki knew how to open doors of any
kind - he seemed to think it a challenge. So when several cats for a
show I was attending, were housed overnight in a cattery with individual
quite large areas, and doors to a common passageway - in the morning no
cats were anywhere to be found in the first three areas- Loki had opened
all the doors, and kittens and stud males of two breeds who'd never met
before - were all having fun in one area at the end. Thankfully the
outside door was padlocked (to keep burglars out we thought!)
My Rorik is also a Sulf. He reminds me of dennis the menace in a mud
puddle. He will roll and wriggle in the litter (yuck) after it is
scooped or refilled. He will also call me authoritatively if his food or
water needs topping up or needs one of my other cat's beetles removed -
(she used to give swimming lessons to them I think). If I do not
respond right away - he goes to the light switch and turns the light off
(if it is on - or turns it on if it was off). Then he stands there on
the light switch table grinning at me and waiting to get the attention
he just manipulated. At cat shows, Loki would shout at anyone walking
past if they failed to greet his highness as they passed. Or he'd lie
where the maximum paths crossed at a campsite to get the maximum
attention with the least effort. These are all consistent Sulph features.
Sulph cats like luxuries. For example Loki asked for a taste of cream
fudge, loved it, purred and rubbed and expressed pssts and urrrts at
the taste and begged for another little chip - which he got. Well after
enjoying that and expressing his feelings well on the subject again - he
strutted firmly to his food making sure I followed - turned his back to
the bowl, shot a stream of pee at it - and came to me for the fudge -
strutting proudly at what he had decided would in future be the way of
things. He now would have more fudge not cat food in future. He thought.
He also loved velvet to lie on. When a photographer wanted to do
pics he had a black velvet backdrop, and Loki spent half the afternoon
rubbing the velvet and expressing his appreciation vocally and any other
way he could devise, about this new velvet stuff. Rorik also appreciates
textures, tastes, etc in an extreme way.
Sulph likes to brag and show off. Loki had an outdoor run that was
visited by the local outsize skunk who always hoped for the catfood
inside there at about 2 or 3am. Loki would yell at Pepi le Peu till he
gave up and went away. At which time Loki would strut up and down
bragging about how HE chased away the big skunk - thus waking the entire
apartment block at 3am.....till he got his due admiration.
Indoors he'd spray so I made him wear stud pants, (plastic pants with
a maxipad in them) till I could train him to not spray in the house.
Well he hated them and made a big deal of walking with his legs sticking
out sideways rocking back and forth and lifting his feet three times as
high as the Goose-step march etc... And finally he figured out how to
get them off, left them on the kitchen table, peed his opinion on them,
and also on the radishes he found there - then came back into the living
room - but still walking exaggeratedly like a cowboy on a horse too
long..... trying to get the maximum sympathy.
He saw my Lachesis cat using the toilet instead of the litter. She
only did it when she thought nobody could see her. Private matter you
know, this bathroom activity. Well gee - something new to brag about,
Loki decided, and he also decided to use the toilet - no training needed
- but he made SURE he was seen doing it.
That's a sample?
Namaste,
Irene
