yes, i totally agree with your post. my experience in the usa is that
most homeopaths tend to be political liberals which, in part, means
that they tend to see themselves more as separate individuals who
are 'just trying to live their lives,' as opposed to being part of a larger
socio-political process. as a consequence, people dont see the need
to organize on a larger level. worse, is the attitude that they dont want
to be political or dont have time to be politically involved. well, of course,
it is true that people are super busy running practices or studying or
having family situations to deal with, etc. but we are also political beings
and the need is imperative that we see ourselves as part of the whole.
the a.m.a. didn't become powerful by ignoring the larger reality. as a matter
of fact the allopathic professions became empowered strictly through
political organizing, fundraising, political lobbying, and marketing of their
wares. it wasnt their success rates that got them the power they wield
today. homeopaths bickered and went their separate ways ignoring
the larger picture and by the 1930's it began to fade dramatically so that
in the 1960's there were virtually no homeopaths in the usa, much less
any schools where new people could study. homeopathy had to climb
out of the morass of history here to begin again.
as for the issue with the bottles that you speak of: i would look to the
way the codex alimentarius is worming its way into the indian polity and
culture. we are having the same thing ongoing here. laws are being
changed inch by inch so as to be minimally visible to the public. one day
we will see our own 'big bang' when the last nails are being put into our
health coffins. codex was a great gift to the big pharma houses that have
been trying to gain total control over health care for 100 yrs. codex has
given them the tool they wanted.
althought the codex focuses heavily on food, herbs and supplements, it
will affect homeopathy very specifically by encouraging the banning of
certain remedies, access to equipment such as empty bottles, etc.

i am very happy to see the activism to save the Royal Homeopathic
hospital in england. but we need to do more than that if we are to
survive and grow as a healing protocol.
