Thanks for your reply. My son is not on any medication
now. We weaned the many drugs he was on when he was 6
years old with medical help, (not the dr that
prescribed them )it took 2 years to wean everything.
The epilepsy drugs just made him worse, we tried them
all and in many combinations. While on the drugs he
needed rectal valium every 3 days because seizures
would not stop and after a while that didn't work
because he became immune to it. He lost a lot of what
he had learned on the drugs and hardly knew who we
were anymore.
After weaning the drugs, he never needed the valium
again and seizures reduced to lasting no longer than
30 seconds. He also became a lot more alert but I
think the drugs and long seizures that were not
controlled by them, had already done a lot of damage
to his brain.
Most neurologists just keep prescribing drugs even if
they don't work as that is what they learn. It is rare
to find one that is open minded to other therapies! We
have already been investigated by Family Services
because our son is not on drugs. It was a nightmare
but with the help of a sympathetic Dr it was proved
that he is indeed much better without drugs.
I realise now, after reading many posts here that it
is important to see a good homeopath.
His eye is all better now.
Cheers, Andrea
