Herniated DISC, sciatica and numbness problem - help needed

Dear list member,
I will be very grateful to you if you send me any information and useful advice about treating patients with a Herniated DISC (in the lumbar / sacral area), sciatica and numbness.
I am trying to help a relative with this problem, whose main complaint it the *numbness* - numbness and cold sensations in his buttocks, numbness in his legs and specially in his feet, and all this is a result of a herniated disc. Much agg. from sitting.
