I'm a 30 yrs old woman who also has atopic dermatitis. I've been treated by homeopathy for a couple of months now (Nat mur LM1), and there's some relief. I think homeopathy can help a lot, but as my homeopath said, nutrition and healthy eating are very important too, for example essential fatty acids. My skin has been very dry and my problem seems to be lack of water and fats.
Have you ever heard of virgin coconut oil? I've eaten it for some weeks now and my skin is not so dry or red anymore, but a lot softer. Virgin coconut oil can also be applied on the skin, but my skin is so sensitive, that the coconut oil itches. I usually put some basic cream on my skin first, and after that a little amount of coconut oil to problem areas.
You may google "virgin coconut oil". As your baby is just 4 months old, very little amounts of coconut oil may be sufficient. In case you're still breast-feeding your baby, you may add coconut oil into your own diet.
