effects on remedy from toxics?

I've been "perscribed" a remedy from my human homeopath for me and I was
going to take it today - as discussed (it is a constitutional remedy - not for
an acute issue) but then I thought about the next few days- which for me
include a family gathering with people who smoke alot IN the house. Nothing we can
do - family issues - their house - they can't smoke in our houses. They
try to minimize the impact but doesn't matter - just a little gets me congested.
My question - since I know I'll be spending hours in this environment - is
my thinking of waiting until a few days after that to take the remedy sound.
Instead of taking the remedy before and then possible negatively affecting "it"
or my reaction by the smoking.
I am ultra-sensative! to almost everything - my remedies, chemicals, smells
- so I react to the smoke and I react to remedies strongly.
