1. (german section)
"Blutschwamm
Fungus haematodes (as applied to cancer). [Treves1890]"
2. definition obtained by oblique means:
http://pages.britishlibrary.net/phrenol ... penter.htm
"The faradization of the cortical substance of the Cerebrum immediately
produces an intense hyperaemia that is, a greatly-increased flow of blood
through its closely-compacted plexus of minute vessels. This is made
apparent in two ways ; first, in the increase in the size of the vessels,
which is obvious to the eye; and second, in the profuse flow of venous
blood that takes place from the great sinuses, which, in the quiescent
state of the brain, had ceased to bleed. Several applications of the
electrodes to the cortical substance of the Cerebrum in rabbits, convert
it into the
connective tissue, which is known as "fungus haematodes.’"
(( Have wondered about this one also.
"...morbid growth, mainly consisting of blood-vessels and connective
tissue, which is known as "fungus haematodes."
leads to the probability that the term is applicable to the connective
tissue growths and vascularization of tumors corroborated by its
appearance in the homeopathic literature as associated with cancer and
tumors).

Re: Fungus Haematodes
It's often associated with a lymphoma that's expressing itself cutaneously.
