Eye Remedy...

Post by Christina X. »

Hi, looking for a remedy for spasm of left eyelid, intermittent,
better during sleep. Recent onset (that is, less than 2 weeks). Spasm
are not present upon waking but come on gradually, increasing during
the day until evening when the spasms are nearly constant and
unbearable.

The subject is female, moderate menses with much pain, build small to
medium, dark hair and dark eyes. Thinks and speaks obsessively about
losing weight, but eats excessively. Approximately 15 pounds past
ideal weight. Not sexually active. Much exposure to cell phone
frequency. Does not sleep well, insomniac at night but sleeps best
during mid morning hours.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris

This is not an exhaustive response, but one remedy that has muscle spasms, especially facial, only when awake and disappearing when asleep is Agaricus.

Rubric:
GENERALS - TWITCHING - sleep - amel.

agar.br1,k2,mtf33

Hi Christina,
I think the causative viewpoint will be helpful. The cell phone. I
had quivering, watering, photophobia and numbness (in fact the
numbness was unilateral of the whole body, on left side- funny even
half nose and half genital) on my moderate cell phone usage. But I
feel it was triggered by one lengthy call than the totality in my
case. Using an earplug solved it. Arum T has also that quivering if
I remember apart from agar as Rosemary pointed out.

Hi and thank you for your reply. As I studied the materia medica on
Agar, I saw other corresponding rubrics and figured this was the
correct remedy. Problem is, I didn't see a rubric on amelioration
with onset of menses, exacerbation as menses subside. Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply!

I should mention that upon the onset of that month's menses, the
twitching stopped, and after bleeding subsided, the twitching resumed.

Thank you again. C
