Sepia Constitutional

Post by Kerry »

I am interested in the physical attributes of the person who is
constitutionally a Sepia and wondered if people had anything to add to
the description that Kent gives of ‘tall, slim women with narrow pelvis
and lax fibers and muscles’. I am particularly interested in the length
of limbs in comparison to the body but also interested in any other
physical attributes that people could give info on.
Many thanks
Kerry

I given Sepia successfully to short obese women (one actually started going
to the gym after the Rx and I never said a word!!!) and quite a few men who
have done very well on it.

this is quite not a basis to select a drug though it has been said in sepia picture. How can we take it as a common phenomena for all the geographical situation. You can not treat for lack of moustaches for mangolians or chinese though it is said in syphilinum. lol..or you can not give acid nitricum to 90 percent of the population of west as the hair is to be black. There is always exception for the sides and the physical appearances when the constitution agree..you can see many japanies legs are short and body long. astrologically gemini borns legs would be long. .....even capricorns. .
what the spirit of the picture as per kent is.....that the sepia patients are irritable, hates the immediate environment around them, hates more the loved one, hates children and husband, she hates her family from whom she is being loved. complaining being rude.feeling of parts of body are sliding down. sits with one leg over the other.an attachment to the loved is disappearing.
considering the above mental picture and pecularities , we decide it is sepia.. You can not devide among the medicines unless there is such a peculiarity , which is very attracting point for homeopathy.
May be this kind of unattachment, hatredness towards loved one, anxiety, paleness ......is the result of a particular harmonal dis-function at hypothaulomus level (i do not say it is an imbalance for there is no meaurement for a balanced state) , which would have started in the childhood or even genetically itself. This imbalance developing the above mental picture might cause , week pelvis, there by an overall weekness in the woman anatomy, week womb, bladder, ultimately causing excess growth of legs, or long legs as it is mentioned........
the growth harmones that produced and needed have acted on the legs......since
all the other parts, like pelvis, womb, breasts, are all in the upperpart, which were not beneffited by the harmones. (this is only an assumption)..
the picture said by kent is a specimen picture........say this SEPIA picture is called.X.
ALL Xs ARE SEPIAS, BUT NOT ALL SEPIAS ARE X's

never heard of long legs and sepia.

About Sepia x, if you take your cases and study them, you are going to get
Sepia x. I highly value my Sepia x's. They are what I really know. Bailey
gives a nice variety of pictures of Sepia. I find that helpful. The washer
woman sepia is not going to look at all like the competitive hard working
healthy sepia. Having a range in your mind will help. I find it
particularly hard to develop the healthy picture of the remedy when all I am
looking at is pathological symptoms. Also, I try to sort symptoms into
pathological stages (when possible).

Other authors give passive, active and compensated stages (Sankaran).
Anything to help you organize a range of pictures is going to be helpful.
One pattern does not fit every clinical case. Just jumping on keynotes does
not always work either. The Herscu module in Radar is good for finding
remedies to compare ( eg. half a book of remedies (sulphur) against much
smaller remedies (fewer rubrics). Also, families and groupings are
excellent for developing comparisons. Sepia is an animal, sea remedy. A
relatively highly developed animal. So thinking in those terms, you make
relationships. Eg. Murex which according to Guy Koklenberg does not have to
be a nymphomaniac. The picture of sepia shouldn't exist all by itself. If
you find a really good rubric in the intake, then you might follow that lead
to chose remedies for comparison.

Dear Kerry,

Vega Rosenburg tought us this in the early 80s and I have found it to be true that sepias like to have their hair very short.

They will say things like: "I can't stand when my hair gets long enough to touch the tops of my ears."
I was thinking of sepia while interviewing a woman w/long hair (but she had it tightly pulled back away from her face and had a bandana over the top of her head) when she said "I would like to cut all my hair off and start my life all over again!" Sepia did a lot of good for her.
Best regarsd,

Lynn

this seems very .... (can't think of the right word...), I've seen quite a few cases of women with long hair who did very well on Sepia. One thing that I have seen is that these patients usually insist at the beginning of treatment that the remedy isn't helping, and after going through all their symptoms it becomes clear to them that the remedy has helped a lot.
