Hi,
I have a menopausal patient suffering hot flushes for the last two years. She describes the flushes as rising up through the body from just above the knees to the head "finishing in a burning mess around the head". Flushes are worse at night, possibly waking her from sleep. Accompanied by perspiration (doesn't usually sweat, even during exercise).
She had a hot flush during the session, I could see her skin reddening but couldn't see the colour rising. Also, her eyes seemed to become shinier, but she's now going to check if this usually happens.
Thanks,
Vera
