I have forwarded text from a letter written by John Fox re the ongoing saga
of PC1 in an AIDS/HIV ridden country.
It comes un-edited!
==========
I think in my last mail to you I reported that there might be some sort of
breakthrough in getting PC1 known to a wider audience in the Central African
Republic, after Harry van der Zee of Links fame and a German collaborator
got promises at Cabinet level that a serious pilot study could begin there.
Promising stuff. Then one of the guys who was a vital link in the chain got
killed in a car crash and the German guy went into a depression out of some
kind of guilt. As far as I know the initiative is on ice as a result.
Harry has become something of a champion not only of PC1 but of an entire
apothecary of PC remedies -don't know if you've ever come across reports in
the literature of this. I don't want to sound too flippant or
disrespectful, but Peter Chappell apparently has a PC remedy for everything
from housemaid's knee to exam nerves. Next mail I'll get the URL of his site
with all this stuff in case you deem it worth a lookee.
Our own experience of all this is that PC1 is easily the 'best' of the
remedies we've tried here; only that and PC Burns really does something
worthwhile. But what PC1 does is still sensational from the 'before and
after' angle. It's now over three years since we first started using it, and
those initial users who have not spent the intervening period shagging half
the village on a three-shift basis are still hale and hearty. The percentage
of recoveries is still very high indeed; so, alas, are the reinfection
rates, which, as I have already opined to you in more than one mail, make
Chappell's claim that PC1 is the 'miracle everyone has been waiting for' a
touch unrealistic. We're now also finding, though, that some patients whose
relapses into ill health with AIDS-related symptoms are likely NOT due to
reinfection after unsafe sex, need a second bottle several months later as a
kind of top-up. But this seems to be very effective too, inasmuch as they
report increased vitality and general wellbeing.
The uptake where we work is about the same: I dispense between ten and
twenty bottles a month from my veranda, our partner bodies a little less,
but we now have an excellent Iranian woman in the capital, a dentist, who
can shift forty a month to the slightly less taboo-stigma-denial-affected
denizens of that city.
A major problem, though, is the increasingly hostile attitude of the
authorities here to anything alternative within the health community. It's a
tradition here that when a new Minister or civil servant takes office, he or
she immediately rubbishes every initiative of the predecessor, regardless of
any merits they might have had. As bad luck would have it, the new minister
has it in for traditional healers, and indeed any practitioner of the
healing arts who doesn't bow down to the gods of Basle or Zurich. We've had
a few near-things with Lilongwe-bound packages being seized and enquiries
from dudes in shades and suits about 'what the Hell's in those bottles?" but
we still dispense and advocate them with as much conviction as before.
I got an excited e-mail from a German friend , a freelance journalist who
was so enthusiastic after visiting our centre at the start of this year that
she has arranged for a film documentary to be made about it and about PC1,
telling me that Peter Chappell was going to appear on German TV that week.
Big breakthrough? Vindication at last? Nope. The Peter Chappell in question
is, it turns out, a film-maker, not an alchemist....
An amusing aside to this whole saga is that when PC first came out here, in
Feb 2003, we took him along to the local Rotary Club here; I had unfired the
PCs of most of the worthies of that worthy enterprise and reckoned Peter
would get a sympathetic hearing. Well!. Alas, he is the world's worst
advocate of his potion, so he was skinned alive, not least because the chair
that year was the best-known quack in town, who does pretty well out of
HIV/AIDS. Tail between the legs stuff with a vengeance! It now transpires
that the guy who comes as regularly as clockwork to our house to buy PC1
bottles for his pals who are too shy to do it themselves, is a big noise in
the bitter rival, the Lions Club.
And, no, I don't think I've been the recent victim of any new hi-jinx on the
part of that white-bearded old comedian up in the dark blue yonder: haven't
been thrown off my bike or had major calamities befall me. But I don't walk
under ladders now.
There we go, Neil: the adventures of PC for another few months at least. By
the way, I wondered if you've had any further contact with the woman who
went to a clinic in Botswana....
Good luck on all fronts, broad and narrow.
Warm regards from Malawi
John

PC1 Trials In Malawi
I have been to a day's lecture by Peter Chappell and afterwards formed the conclusion that the bloke is either a genius or mad or possibly both. One thing that came out of it was that his PC1 remedy worked in Africa but not on Aids in the UK. He had come up with a special one for that which he was trying out. I feel sure I probably sent my lecture notes to the list at the time. His website is http://www.vitalremedies.com/remedies.php and you can LISTEN to a Rx without taking it by downloading the correct one. There is a page for practitioners entered by a very simple couple of homeopathy based questions.

Rochelle,
They are still at the site that I have for Peter. I just tried one. Possibly he is taking them out of public domain for the moment.
