Re: Nausea from anxiety
Well there's a fair bit of info there but I would say it needs more
exploring by the PX and thee
The trick is not to leave yourself with loads of repping but to get
all the PERTINENT info from the Px so you don't have to hunt rubrics
( any more than is absolutely essential)
Nausea from anxiety is actually quite common, I gave Lyc to some one
very recently (successfully) who hadn't eaten for a week because of
the nausea and vomiting from anxiety. So don't forget the 'Ailments
from' section..very handy
IF that was me - I'd phone the PX (or get them back in) and find out
WHY WHY WHY. i.e. drill, inveigle, explore, press the Px on the
questions around what's actually going on for them; when hubby goes,
when she's alone, when she saw her mum etc what exactly was her
experience? EG is it F.alone, F.death, F. disease, F of the F, etc??
It would probably not take any longer to do that than to do the repping.
You know the ol' WTWT question? 'What's the worst thing' that ever
happened to you (WTWTTEHTY is a bit unwieldy! lol) - Handy to pose
that one at the end of case taking and when you have the rapport.
Often makes life SO easy, prescribing-wise.
The emotions that has 'all collapsed' by EFT was probably your
prescribing emotions! - I suspect there can be a problem with
adjuncts like EFT in that you alter the whole Sx picture, you could
lose the very prescribing details you need. I would also ask , have
they really collapsed, what is meant by that ?, because it is the
emotions I would suspect, that are causing the nausea. So if the
nausea is still there where are the emotions hiding?
Bonne chance!

Re: Nausea from anxiety
Dear Simon,
Tank's for your tips and I really do interrogate when I have a patient that doesn't talk all the time like this one did!! Re the EFT - I use it a lot with patients + give the relevant Rx and they seem to do well. Quite honestly I don't care and I don't think the patient does which is making them feel better - the Rx or the EFT !!!! It is the emotion that is collapsed and I won't know if the nausea has gone until I see her next or if she phones as I asked her to next week.
Don't knock EFT - it often gets you to the core of the problem as well with a difficult case. There are many techniques now to use with it. Have a read on www.emofree.com. With this patient I used the movie technique for the miscarriage and Choices for not being able to go to the shops on her own as that was the problem she identified as being the worst handicap to her.
All the best

Re: Nausea from anxiety
Hi Rochelle-
I do not think the intent of Simon is to knock down EFT. The concern
is that by using some of the symptom specific techniques like EFTR
or behavioral techniques ( movies is a behavioral technique adapted
by EFT I think) we might lose some of the prescribing information
for homeopathy. And we might end up chasing symptoms instead of
getting a whole picture. Of course in experience you might have
found out that is not the case.
But talking about EFT, why did you not persist with EFT itself to
take care of the anxiety? There is clearly a large emotional content
in the case and EFT might help more.
Some of these "adjuncts", as Simon put it, can be used to find out
the cause of what happened. Concentrating and looking for images
that the fear/anxiety she feels now bring up can give you some clue
as to the cause of it and that might be useful for EFT/ Homeopathy /
some other modality.
Sometimes mixing things might make it difficult to find which worked
and which to continue or change.... May be first presisting with one
modality for sometime before moving to the next might be better for
you as well as the patient...
I have used hypnosis / NLP with patients but rarely ever with
homoeopathy....not to say that I was right but just to mention that
I preferred it that way so that I can understand what I was doing
and what was happening...

Re: Nausea from anxiety
I was thinking Carc too - good start.
Also Lyc has to do with anxiety in the pit of the stomach with nausea
and also it's big on fears - something bad will happen resulting in
panic attacks.
Emily
old. It is because she thinks she will have a panic attack and nausea.
She is fine if with her husband. Causation - it started when her
mother had cancer and she had to go to the hospital to see her and has
got worse since a miscarriage when she passed the foetus in the bath.
The emotion from the later event seems to have collapsed with EFT.
indications.

Re: Nausea from anxiety
Sorry Rochelle I just reread your message but it is still actually the same
gist - iod can be used for fat at times as the thyroid can be underactive
and cause problems with weight and iod still comes in as a potential remedy
