feels hot, desires warm clothing

Post by Shannon M »

What's the rubric for this? I'm sure I've seen one...
She feels hot, "But if I take my sweatshirt off I'll feel cold, but
I'll still feel hot." She wants to stay warmly dressed in spite of
feeling hot.
(This is an acute.)
Thanks,
Shannon

You might need to combine a couple, say, heat, followed by chill +
covers >>> or covers desire for as well as covers <<< such as you get
with Pulsatilla or Sulphur. Maybe it is the wearing of clothes that is
agg. Joy

Thanks, Joy and Rochelle!
Rochelle, your first one sounds just right--I hadn't thought to look up
"covers"!
As it turns out, while I was trying to decide what to give, she fell
asleep, slept *hours*, and woke feeling much better, so I've held off
for now. But Puls looks like a good contender; I'll see what tomorrow
brings!
Thanks again!

temperature modalities in acutes can be either all over the place and
very unreliable as sx or they can be very specific and lead you
straight to the simillimum. Belladonna has >>> for LIGHT covering;
Bryonia has chill with extreme heat >>> tight covers and yet they kick
the covers off. Rumex cannot be uncovered because of the CHANGE of
temperature not whether it is hot or cold. Hepar has extreme heat but
is <<< from the slightest draft (intensified if you uncover).

It would make a good study project to get a group of acute rx and study
their strange temperature and covering/uncovering modalities.

Don't forget to use the rubric 'uncovering' as well. Best, Joy
