I don't know of any physical but I know of a case where a women was
given 1M, 3pellets every 2 hours for 6 hours. Meaning she was to take
9 1M pellets within 6 hours.
I thought that was crazy but it worked for her.
She said she felt an "angel on one shoulder and a devil on another"
and was given Anacardium. After 3 months, it's still working and she
feels fine. I asked her if she had any aggravations from it and she
said no which I was shocked but the angel/devil idea is gone.
Never heard of prescribing this way.

Re: repeated high potencies
when i get poison ivy it is very bad--goes systemic within days and becomes
quite debilitatin. rhus v has been the one rx that seems to control it. i
usually
take 200c daily. however, there are some cases when i need 1M daily and
usually need to do this for 2-3 weeks while the case begins to resolve
itself.
would love to be able to change my susceptibility but so far no luck!

Re: repeated high potencies
Hi Shannon, Emily,
Berkeley Digby in South Africa has worked this way with px with psychological
pathology, with great success, FWIW.
Here's a snippet from his lecture on Anac.:
FRUSTRATION and OBSTRUCTION OF FREE WILL one way or another causes the
Anarcardium state. Background of being suppressed, dominated, abused or
constricted, by circumstances, eg. pushy, demanding, parents or employer, or
dominant husband. Suppressing oneself in order to achieve or prove something.
Ailments from being compelled to do something which he does not enjoy, (eg.
exams or employment). Sankaran found Ferrum has anger about doing something he
does not enjoy.
On the one hand feels obliged to do something while internally there is resistance.
This internal resistance creates a 'split' within. "Delusions of being divided." Feel tight
and constricted within themselves. Plugged up feelings, not flowing or expressing
freely (Cuprum). Physical symptoms of plugs or bands anywhere. "Delusion body is
too small for the soul"

Re: repeated high potencies
Could an intercurrent nosode be helpful here? (e.g. Psor)
I don't know what other remedies you've tried, but it sounds as if the
Rhus-v is palliative rather than curative, and that another remedy might be
indicated.

Re: repeated high potencies
That's what is called a "split dose", and pretty much acts as one dose.
But according to some people, the repetitions act as "little shoves"
and actually *decrease* the chance of aggravation. Counter-intuitive,
I know, but that has been the opinion of some well-trained classical
prescribers. And a different situation from when the dose is repeated
day after day for a long period.

Re: repeated high potencies
That is NOT a split dose as described but a repeated dose, something
completely different. Best wishes, Joy

Re: repeated high potencies
Can you explain? The way I have heard the term used, and was taught to
use it, it simply means a set of (two or) three repetitions within a
short time-frame (usually 12 or 24 hours apart) followed by long-term
watch-and-wait; you're looking for the action of a single dose, but
more gentle. What is your understanding of the term, and the
difference between "repeated doses"?
Anyone recall whether "Blackie" used the term split dose or not?
