Effects of surgery

Post by Rosemary C. Hyde, Ph.D. »

I was wondering if anyone would have any words of wisdom to offer here, based on clinical experience. A person whose metastatic breast cancer has remained controlled with homeopathic treatment using Dr. Ramakrishnan's plussing method has injured her shoulder, and will probably require surgery to repair the injury (the shoulder was already in bad shape and the rotator cuff has been tearing gradually more and more over the last few years.). The person is 74 years old. What I'm wondering is how having the surgery for this totally unrelated injury might affect the person's ability to keep holding the cancer at bay. The person has commented that the pain and disability from the injury may be more stressful than surgery may be. I'll appreciate any perspective anyone can share on this one.

Rosemary

Dear Rosemary, a case for going with one's intuition - if the situation
cannot be fully addressed with homeopathic rx and if the living with
the pain is <<< than the option for surgery then going for the surgery
will bring some hope and relief and this will keep the person in good
spirits and spiritual good health will contribute to keeping any return
of the cancer at bay. Surgical correction can be a blessing in some
cases of chronic pain. Best wishes, Joy

Hi, Rosemary --

This post raises an issue that's been troubling me lately. I believe
surgery (or any severe trauma) can be a stress that undermines the vital
force's ability to deal with cancer. A patient of mine with rectal cancer
was doing well until undergoing surgery to remove leaking breast implants;
after that, she developed what was first believed by her dr. to be
hemorrhoids (as a result of constipation from anesthesia and painkillers),
but turned out to be a fast-growing tumor. I really think the stress of
hospitalization tipped her over the edge. Gaston Naessens, the Canadian
biologist, also found that people who used his 714-X treatment could falter
in their response if they had a traumatic injury.

As I write this, I'm recovering from a bite to the face by an unfriendly
horse. After that bite, I responded in my characteristic way and promptly
came down with a head cold. No exposure (though some exposure recently to
flu, which I don't get); it's just that when the vital force rushes to put
out one fire, a second may go unnoticed.

Peace,
Dale

Yes, Dale. That's a reason I posted the question. My feeling is that the
success that homeopathy may have in forestalling advanced cancers where the
disease is too advanced to hope for actual cure results from a somewhat
delicate balancing act that the vital force is mounting, aided by the
remedies. I've had a couple of advanced cancer patients doing well with
Plussing who have quickly gotten very ill with the cancer taking over after
surgical interventions -- I was concerned. I agree with what Joy said,
too -- it's just a major concern.
