Rx thoughts?
I had a 11 yr old child in yesterday who although she looked healthy was very tiny for her age. She was normal height until about 18 months and there is no reason (vaccination?) for the change. I would be interested in anyone's ideas of a remedy which would fit a Phosphorus without any fears!!!!

Re: Rx thoughts?
Hi,
Without more detail, it is difficult to say, but Calc phos springs to mind as it has 'less'
fears than Phos, and it is also a bone rx. Was she prem. ? Is there a history of small-
bones or retarded growth ? What's her diet like ? Etc., etc. Also Silica can look quite
Phosphoric, and is finely boned plus can be small in stature.
Here's a possibility however, IF she is genuinely 'stunted' -
MURPHY: C; Children; GROWTH; disorders (12) : Bar-c., Calc., Calc-p., ferr., ferr-
acet., iod., irid., kreos., ph-ac., phos., sil., syph.
C; Children; GROWTH; disorders; young people, in (5) : Calc-p., hippoz., kreos., ph-
ac., Phos.

Re: Rx thoughts?
What are her signs of imbalance/symptoms other than being tiny?

Yes I did check out Calc Phos but the mentals are all wrong. Same with
Silica. This child also has frequent nose bleeds usually between 5-6a.m.
and she says she has usually woken up first.
Diet is fine except for sugar free drinks in the house and low fat milk
which we talked about. She has a very small appetite but is lively and looks
healthy!! I suggested Alfalfa to be added to the diet to increase her
appetite.

Re: Rx thoughts?
Strange one this - are you asking which rx are fearless - how can a rx
be like Phos but not like Phos? Anyway, possibly an endocrine rx and if
it has to be 'close' to Phos but more reserved, i.e. much less fearful
and have nosebleeds at night/early morning (your other post), wouldn't
Nat mur come into the equation? Joy

Re: Rx thoughts?
Thanks Joy but IMHO she is far too open to be Nat Mur and prefers company
like a Phos to being on her own.The only other Sx are a tummy ache that
comes on
for no reason, no time modalities which is > couching down and bending over
and worse standing up and a strange pain in the side of her right knee which
she appears to have had for a long time and I couldn't get much more out of
her about it. She is one of those kids who will suck a lemon(Bell) and she
gets wound up easily if something upsets her . When he dad teased her the
other day she got so tense that the blood vessels burst under the skin under
her eyes and took a day to subside but that had never happened before.

That seems like quite a strong response to teasing. Do you know what
he was doing, and why it was so upsetting for her? Does she normally
take teasing hard, or was there something specific to the content or
circumstances, do you know? What things upset her?

Re: Rx thoughts?
That gives bursting a blood vessel new meaning. Definite haemorrhagic
tendency in the case, maybe looking towards the snake rx. Very easily
upset to the extent she burst blood vessels = suppressed anger, from
crying or spontaneous bleeding. Petechiae would be a useful rubric to
use. Lots of rx like sour or lemons. How does her small stature fit
into the case? Joy

Rochelle,
I must have missed some of the original post - Are you are eliminating Phos only due to a lack of 'fears'?

Re: Rx thoughts?
I am not sure what you mean Joy. She maybe small but appears to have tall
person mentality which means she isn't timid and doesn't act small. She can
stick up for herself and demands her own way.
