Dear List,

Thanks to all who responded to the post.Many of you
guessed the remedy rightly for the first case but the
second case was a bit more tricky.

suissa,VT Yekkirala ( I'm reciting from memory- but
thanks to all)
The two cases posted here would have been enjoyed by
you and given a try by most. I have given the
Physician's words about the remedy finding method and
a bit mine too.
Here it goes:

1. The case of The uncontrollable sexual urge:

The sexual urge was the thing running through and
through the case. This was one aggravating cause.
Second , she tried to suppress it which also
aggravated. Her only solace was work , work and more
work which gave her some respite from the scorching
sexual passions. Her fears added that individuality to
the case. Now to the physician's words:

From Allen's key notes:
Fears: being alone,fears she is incurable
Timid, fearful, and weeps much
Tormented about her salvation
Must keep busyto repress her sexual desires

The remdy was Lilium Tigrinum. I think the last "must
keep busy to suppress her sexual desires" is the key
that helped zero in on the remedy which worked fine.
After I prescribed in high potency, the same day she
slept during and night well and the next day was a
different dawn. Gone were her restless nature and she
welcomed her guests with a smile and behaved a
responsible woman. Improvement went on for like this
and she came to visit me on the fifteenth day a
changed woman. Thanked me no ends. I gave another dose
and sent her off.

These are possible rubrics which bring lil-t to the
fore.

CASE 2:
THE CASE OF 'HEART PATIENT"-
The background is : the case was attended to by Dr
Margery G Blackie, and the visiting doctor
was Douglas Borland. The case was reported in "The
amazing power of Homeopathy- record of 201 difficult
cases' by Dr S M Gunavante & Dr Mrs Shraddha Bhatt (
Bjain).

Though Borland's "why" of the selection of the remedy
is not to be seen, The compilers have given on what
basis it was probably sent.

The remedy was Lilium Tigrinum (again) Phatak's MM
says"sits alone and broods over imaginary troubles
(all her tests were negative). Fruitless activity( she
thinks she has to do everything for the family from
her sick bed). Dread of being incurable. Very timid
and indifferent to anything done for her (her
resentment on seeing the psychiatrist).

The above was by the compilers. But I would add
another Rubric: Fear , heart disease of: Which places
it as a frontline remedy.
My desire to post was on two counts: one was the
interesting nature of these cases. Two, the two sides
of the same remedy. Hope you enjoyed it.
