........ Dissolved

Post by kamal_homeo »

In Repertorium Universale (free version from www.morphologica.com), I
found this:

MIND,P:"Delusion, imaginations; body, body parts;continuity of, will
be dissolved" - Thuj. (author reference: H A Roberts)

This rubric has x-ref of Mirilli's theme, which
indicates 'disintegration' - containing 171 remedies (where Thuj is a
3).

Regards.

KAMAL.

Very interesting -- both from Kamal and Dr. R. Thank you! Actually Thuja was the remedy I had noted several months ago, last time I had seen her, to look at next for her (but I didn't have this rubric). The other possible remedy I wrote down at that point was Lac-h, which I haven't totally ruled out, either.

I'm also thinking seriously of Hydrog. Does anyone have any experience using Hydrogen as a remedy?

I've found some EH cases, which contain several important themes, across different cases, of this patient's situation, and I've read Sherr's proving info -- but it's hard to extract, from what I've found, the essential affinities of the remedy -- what's central, aside from the sense of disintegration. She has an annual bout of extremely severe, intense bronchitis which resembles pertussis each time (a blood test this past year showed pertussis, which she had also had at least twice as a child -- so Carcinosin is also a remedy to consider, I guess). Today I learned that the headaches also seem to cluster most severely and frequently around an annual time -- a different time from the bronchitis. She's also very conscious of anniversaries of negative events -- deaths of relatives, for instance. Consequently, annual periodicity takes a higher importance in the case, but it doesn't help distinguish between these two remedies. The confusion (a major issue), headaches, and recurrent bronchitis are the biggest aspects of the case. As I think of it here, there are also fixed ideas. For instance, she kept talking about a "sugar addiction," of which I could find no evidence other than that she kept saying she really likes to have a sweet once a day, which she thinks is terribly shameful. Thuja doesn't desire sweets. Hmmm....

Anyway, if anyone has any experience with Hydrogen, I'd be interested in what seems uppermost in that remedy from your experience.

Rosemary

GENERALITIES; PERIODICITY; annually (K1391, SII-489, G1147) (29) : Ars.,
ant-t., lach., rhus-t., agki-p., ail., am-c., buth-aust., carb-v.,
carc., cench., crot-h., echi., elaps, gels., hydrog., kali-bi., lyc.,
naja, nat-m., nicc., psor., rhus-v., sulph., tarent., thuj., tub.,
urt-u., vip.
Is this interesting. Are the headaches bursting in nature as I believe
a Hyd one is
Peter Morrell's description

This is a very interesting remedy. It connects to beginnings and endings
and to the spiritual, to dreams and visions, hallucinations, the arts,
psychotropic drugs. It would suit burned-out ageing hippies who keep
having flashbacks or hashish habituees. Indeed, mediums, psychics and
anyone with visions, hallucinations and a laid-back approach to life
generally.

It is well suited to air signs (gemini, libra and aquarius) and anyone
with these signs rising or with strong mercury, etc. Also those who are
interested in spirituality, religion, especially oriental, esoteric and
arcane religions and philosophies. It is a remedy for seekers after
truth, grand philsophers and the devisers of great schemes for
understanding the world. It is also useful for those who have used
psychedelic drugs, mediums, psychics, visions, hallucinations. They tend
to think of death and impermanence, the dead, dead bodies and often
dream of the same subject.

They regard the world as an illusion, that solid matter is thin, light,
flexible and liable to disappear or dissolve at any moment. They thus
like surrealism, fantasy amd the idea thast the world is simply a flimsy
illusion with no solid basis. They regard the real physical world as
being a fake, and that within it and behind it there lies a real world
of mind and spirit which is the true reality. They also tend to believe
in spirits, can see and speak to them, can visit astral realms and also
in elves, pixies and plant spirits.

They are usually very creative people who love to make and compose
things, music, writings and philosophical tracts and to devise grand
schemes (like Sulphur, Phos and Palladium). It is the alpha and omega of
remedies --hydrogen being the fundamental basis of all matter. Plasma,
which the sun is made of, is mostly hydrogen. It thus also connects with
the fire signs leo, sag and aries.

Hydrogen folk are moved to see crosslinks, interconnections and
associations --invisible underlying holistic pathways, as we might
choose to call them, in ANY sphere of life, whether it is in the arts,
humanities, sciences or philosophy. They can become suspicious,
superstitious or feel lonely and persecuted. They like to listen to
moving music and stand on the tops of mountains.
Affinities

It is close to Kali, natrum, Lithium, phos, merc and the noble gases,
also to the halogens and all acids. It is also close to Cann-ind, LSD,
Anhalonium, Peyote, Stram, Hyos and Bell.
The Nature

* it is element number 1
* it is primary and the building block for all matter
* it is explosive
* it is the acidic nature of all acids
* it is of the same nature as the sun (plasma)
* it is highly reactive
* it exists in 3 forms
* it is the lightest of all the gases
* it is the primary gaseous element
* it is par excellence of the nature of the air element (gemini)
* it is volatile
* as positive ions it depresses mood
* it is abundant at the seaside
* it is evasive, non-committal, indecisive
* it camouflages in partaking of the nature of other elements
* it likes to be 'out and about'
* it 'escapes' easily
* bubbles, blisters, vesicles, watery, capsules, also bubbling sensations
* psoric and sycotic
* it is one-sided (it has a valency of one)
* it is very close to lithium, kali and natrum and all acids
* it is sensitive to touch, static electricity and electric charge (kali
carb, natr mur)
* worse for being alone; which it dislikes
* better for company
* worse/better for light
* worse/better electricity/storms (phos, carc)
* worse/better seaside
* worse/better seasonally
* worse/better for heat
* better summertime
* worse cold weather/ winter
* better for and likes travel and motion

which agree and improve
* trembling weakness

Hi, Jean. Thanks so much. Yes, the headaches have a strongly bursting sensation.

I've got that rubric, periodicity annual, in my analysis, for sure. I notice Carcinosin is there -- hmmm... Interesting that all the snake remedies seem included in this -- I'll remember that.

I should probably also use the rubric "helplessness," as I think about it. The only modality I have for the headaches is that they are worse from any jarring, although I'm not sure of how individualizing that is. The client is certainly aware of that, however, when she's generally unaware of much when she's in that pain.

This description of Hydrog is helpful because of the emphasis on spirituality, which I don't see with this client -- so that may provide a good basis for differentiation. Thanks for sharing. Rosemary

I gave Hydrogen to my nephew when he returned from India a few years ago and
couldn't find his way back to earth as it were. He dressed in white robes at
the time and had done too much meditating and drugs!!! The phrase he kept
using was "I am looking for realisation" He had an interesting agg which was
very pronounced sneezing fits which cleared his sinuses. It did have the
desired effect as he has now just qualifed as a lawyer!!!

Rochelle (just back from a hard disc crash -lost everything that I had not
backed up since August and the data was not discoverable- Dell sent me a
replacement disc which was twice the size of the one that bust!!!)

Hi, Rochelle.

Sorry about the hard disk crash -- that can be catastrophic!

Thanks for the additional insight on Hydrog. :-)) Rosemary
