Help putting symptom into rubric, please
Re: Help putting symptom into rubric, please
Off course! Other than the eye symptom,
1. *Her state was definitely phlegmatic*
2.*Constant desire to take a deep breath but only half-fitting* *chest*
3. Bloating and paleness of face
4. Tearfulness, low spirits & melancholy were prominent
5.Fear of death
6. Anxiety as from a troubled conscience
7. *Internal coldness of body*
8. Confusion and vertigo
9. Sudden crashing noise in head on falling asleep awaking with fright
10. Weakness and lassitude of lower extrmities.
Then we pupil tested her and this was the largest, steadiest dilation. With
as many symptoms as she had (this little list is only a tenth) and her
vagueness, I'm surprised we narrowed it down to about five remedies.

It would be of no surprise that the remedy Sol has light sensitivity in
the eyes and also periods of 'odd blindness'. A remedy that could do
with another full proving. Best wishes, Joy

Hi Didi,
The sun technique sounds interesting... Perhaps she could do a few seconds
of this with right eye only in good hours? Do you remember how the therapy
went? Do you (or does anybody from the list) know if there are any dangers
by doing something very mild like this?
Phos might be a possible choice in the future... Let's see how the symptoms
settle. I know that Sulph antidotes Tyr but it wouldn't fit this case and I
don't want to complicate the case. Are there other known antidotes for Thyr?
Thanks!
Caro.

H A Roberts has 5 medicines related to Sensations in eye related to
Sun...
Sun flickering before eyes - Lach
eclipse of Sun taking place - Physo
objects appear as if one had looked at sun a few minutes before -
Podo
had been looking at sun - Nit.ac
she had gone into bright sunlight - Sep
Of these Lach and Nit Ac look good for the symptom mentioned. Lach
has a lot of Thyroid symptoms and is good for Sun headaches as
well... Nit acid is related to Lach, has suddenness of symptoms...
meanwhile it was mentioned that Thyroidinum has central scotoma etc.
Another remedy mentioned for the same Thyroidinum symptom is
Carbon.sulph... This might be worth a try too, another remedy
mentioned in the relationship of Carbon. sulph with eye symptoms is
benzin.dinitricum - ( looks like "nitricum" is appearing here as
well).
All of these might be worth a try- of course see if any of these is
suitable for other symptoms as well - that might be the decisive
factor.
The best antidote to Thyroidinum as for any other medicine is the
indicated one... I would not think of anything routinely for
antidoting Thyroidinum which has ramificitions all over the body -
taking the symptoms and covering the presenting symptoms might be
better than any other antidote given on anecdotal basis.

Re: Help putting symptom into rubric, please
I would not recommend anyone look directly into the sun as a therapy for
vision problems at any time of the day.
Especially not in the southern hemisphere, but not anywhere else either.
Gaping holes in the ozone layer, increase in the levels of cancer causing
ultraviolet rays.....it's a much different time from when Friedrich was
galloping around the countryside producing strange and miraculous cures!!

Dear Soroush
reproving! Symptoms would disappear!
Polle sana! (Swahili: my many apologies) In that case, please generously accept my apologies ;-p
Ahhhh, one of those obscure remedies, eh? Oh well, I've just become too shy to go further about it. Take a peek at a Boericke, Murphy or Vermeulen Con2

Re: Help putting symptom into rubric, please
Hi Hahnemannian, Chris, Rosemary.
Thank you all.
Lachesis was the first remedy I gave her (it fit like a glove) and it truly
jump-started her towards the cure. It was amazing how it clearly removed a
whole layer of pathology. Then it stopped working and pupils didn't dilate
anymore so new approach. When I first saw her, I had considered Ars
specially because of her facial color, I hadn't quite seen anything like
that before... but the aim wasn't to antidote Thyr. We went with Lach.
I was wondering if any of the suitable 'next' remadies (if Digitalis doesn't
do the whole trick) might also happen to be a known antidote for Thyr that I
had't looked at yet.
Calcarea carb is the remedy I have the strongest feeling for the next. It
would've been my choice instead of Dig but at the time she had reported a
fear of paralysis of the extremities and the fact that she had experienced
semi-paralytic sensations of ext. pointed more towards Dig at that moment.
We pupil tested her for Calc as well and good dilation but much more from
Dig.
Now that she's so much better and that part is gone she still is very
'calcareous', so I think that's where we're going next. Very hopeful about
it.
I won't advise the sun-blinding technique then:-)
Still, interesting last resort for someone gone totally blind...
Thanks, guys.
Caro.
