itch > slapping

I was wondering if anyone can help me with a rubric for itchy skin ++++ some formication also but its PQRS is > slapping the itchy area hard - she has been using her hand or a plastic fly swat. Is the only thing that helps.
I cant find a rubric anywhere in my somewhat limited library. If any one has a rubric that fits could I also have the remedy list for it as unless its one of the major repertories I may not have it. Many thanks Pauline

Hi Pauline,

May I suggest that you try to obtain some more information as to why
your Pt. finds it

What happens after she slaps the itch...HOW does it make it/her
feel >? What happens if she doesn't slap the area? Perhaps there is
some other sensation she can describe about the itch, or why and how
it bothers her?

Hope this helps. A Sx can be so much more than it's face value. Try
to dig a little deeper.

Long time since we have spoken - hope you are well

re your query

here is an exerpt from Vermeulen's concordent for Chlorum (chlorine), which has the desire to slap
the skin:

.......... Itchiness & greatly increased sensibility; he tries to avoid scratching; slight smarting.
Stinging as of nettles. Stinging and biting here and there as of very minute insects, indescribably
transient and minute, occurring at intervals on arm, back, abdomen and lower limbs; as if an insect
flitted over parts and stung them, desire to slap parts with the palm, has no rest. Stinging as of
cantharides leaving soreness and bruised sensation, replaced by itching; cuticle comes off in white
scales. Accumulation of blood in capillaries of skin with heat. Congestion to skin & eruption of
minute papillae, so close that skin has a general red appearance at a short distance; papillae
suppurate and vesicate, or desquamate. Nettle-rash, wheals, white, small, in clusters surrounded by
diffuse redness...................

Also, maybe you will have to look at better from rubbing or pressure type rubrics

There was one under formication better for rubbing
