Homoeopathic Re-proving

I now have time to give you a fuller reply.

You are indeed correct two counts.
1- For quite some time homoeopathic remedies were proved and used undiluted. In fact Hahnemann discovered Homoeopathy after he had tried the extract of Cinchona officinalis. It produced malaria type symptoms in him and his friends and family when they all tried it and then he realised that was why it cured malaria.

2- Homeopathy is prescribed on the basis of symptom similarity - that is to say if a substance can cause disease symptoms in the symptom-less (healthy), then it can cure similar symptoms in the sick. See above.

Dr Hahnemann encountered a number of problems.
It was risky to try to prove poisons
The neat extracts of substances can cause the symptoms to worsen before they cause improvement.

So he embarked on a series of dilution programmes.
So FYI we have three series of potencies, those diluted in steps of 1/10 (D or X), 1/100 (C) and 1/50,000 (LM).

What he discovered is that as he diluted the medicinal effects of the substance became greater and started to touch on the emotional and mental aspects of the patients.

He also discovered that provings could be done on the diluted potentised substances, which enabled him to use all sort of substances from Arsenic to venoms.

And this is what I want to do with the volunteers from the sceptics camp. We will show you personally that you will be given a potentised substance that has been diluted past Av's number and that it has the ability to produce profound symptoms in the provers.

I hope that you will be brave enough to join the volunteers from your group who are all male. It is about time the female sex showed its bravery too.

As I said before, SUCK IT AND SEE. If it is just water or has no effect, then you have nothing to fear.
But if I am right, you WILL be sick (we hope for a short while only).

Africa?

The idea here was not to go through a proper reproving, but to cause such a
physical discomfort that they would have to admit it.

Yes, of course homeopathic remedies have always been proven on people. That
was one of Hahnemann's great innovations. But to suggest to a medical
establishment that DOES NOT use that in its protocol, is not going to get a
response. They don't have a protocol for this, so they will refuse it. Also,
plants can bring out physicals, and this is measurable. Our critics will be
able to monitor this by THEIR standards. Much has already been done to use
homeopathic remedie in traditional medical research models. Much has been
published and some of this is sponsored by BOIRON and published on their
sites.
I think this is a MUCH BETTER way of convincing the skeptics, because it uses
THEIR system to prove OUR medicine.

I admire your fortitude. I have found that no amount of proof will convince
those who don't want to believe. Many of our opposers have financial
interests at stake- they make a lot of money from prescribing drugs. What is
in it for them to learn the truth? I think we only annoy them and convince
them of their rightness if we irritate. What is the similimum? Let them make
their patients sick with their methods, as Hahnemann did and hopefully that
will open their eyes.
