Hi all,
I hope it's okay to send this--more about the pitched battle over our
"dietary rights", US Division. Folks in the US may find this a good
site to monitor (and maybe subscribe to get their "action alerts") for
information about what's happening with the related legislation.

US-Save Our Supplements

Shannon,

does this have anything to do with the Codex Alimentarius?

It's certainly marching us along the same path, tho no specific
connection is mentioned. I wondered the same myself, but in the end I
don't really think it matters too much, the effect would be the same,
and one would certainly serve the other!

just wanted to know what i was passing along to others. most
people are so confused about the codex--actually most do not
know about it. and to make matters more difficult, people are
not taking it seriously enough. they simply cluck there tongues
and shake their heads in disbelief and move on to other matters.
so to pass on this other information, i need to be clear about
what it is and how it relates, or doesn't to the codex problem

very frustrating

Boy, I think that has been the *hugest* part of the problem, and the
reason that the monster has gotten as far as it has--we don't know what
it's about, and what you year, just sounds incredible, like bad science
fiction. Only wish it *were* just science fiction.

But as far as this and its connection with CODEX, I don't think you
need to say anything other than that it's the same battle under
different frameworks, and we don't know whether they're orchestrated by
the same folks or not--but both battles need to be recognized and
fought.
