the fact that Randi took the whole bottle in one go means that he only took
one dose.

Dear Soroush,
Drinking whole bottle and taking a teaspoon are not
the same. Dose is as important (and may be much more
important) as potency.
In hyposensitive cases and in cases who have not been
given a simillimum, this difference is not apparent.
But in moderate sensitivity and hypersensitive cases a
large dose may cause severe aggravation and may also
hurt the patient.
As in provings usually the prover is not taking his
simillimum, we need higher doses for the attachment of
the medicinal disease. But we should be careful. If
the prover is a sensitive person or he is taking his
simillimum per chance, the proving may cause
irreversible injury to the person.
Quality and quantity are both important in our
prescriptions. It was Kent's view that remedies work
only qualitative. Maybe if he knew the quantitative
aspect of the remedies, he wouldn't hurt himself in
his provings the way he did.

I guess the Magician Randi is not a sensitive.
The sensitives form a difficult group of patients and luckily there are not
too many of them - although I personally know at least three!!
However, I was taught the accidental taking of a whole bottle is only one
dose! If a tablet was going to have an effect on the sensitive, then the
effect from the whole bottle would not make much of a difference. (I am
assuming by the bottle they mean the container of pills which may be holds
30-100 sugar coated pills and not the potentising solution. Even so, how
are you going to measure the quantity of say Ars in Ars 30C bottle.

memory of Ars remaining after the process of
dynamization is not just a quality free of quantity.
Our inability to measure a quantity does not mean that
the quantitative nature does not exist. I have seen in
several cases that with dose adjustment many
unnecessary aggravations can be avoided.
