Single remedy Manufacturing

Post by Patty or John Polhemus »

It has come to my attention lately that some of the top suppliers of remedies in the US are becoming more interested in increased sales and therefore are spending more time producing combination remedies and nutritionals. This is causing me considerable concern. Because there is not a lot of money to be made in single remedies I fear they may become harder to find in the not to distant future. Does anyone else have this same concern. Do you know of a reliable manufacturer that will assure us they won't push combinations and will keep true classical homeopathy in the forefront of their business??

Thanks for listening.
Trish

Hi Trish,

That's a very good point you're making. In the UK we seem to have two main suppliers: Helios (http://www.helios.co.uk/) and Ainsworths (http://www.ainsworths.com/site/default.aspx).

Ainsworths have always been the most popular but on looking at their website, I'd tend to favour Helios. Yet, a shop in Bristol that sells the Helios make said to me a while ago they were thinking of changing their supplier, but didn't say why.

Need the advices here of someone who really knows the differences between Helios and Ainsworths.

Christine

Knowing the principal pharmacist and his strong belief in classical homeopathy, I would assume that Hahnemann Pharmacy in the US will continue to provide high quality single remedies.

I understand that up to 30 C is by hand at Helios - probably at Ainsworths
too.
For higher potencies, Helios use one of their own machines

However, most of these pharmacies sell combos!

Are you seriously suggesting Pharmacies should only sell single Rxs ,
even if there is a demand for combos?

They have to make money to stay in business, if they went out of
business then where would we get our single Rxs?

True, but they use their own machine to make most high potencies with
a few exceptions
