thanks for the clear responses David

Post by robin9168 »

I didnt express myself nearly as well.

I will have to look back at what I was responding to in the first
place. I was struck in previous writings of yours that your
experiences of waiting, aggravation and modifying the dose were
different to mine. I am interested to know why.

I should clear up for you and others, for what its worth, that I
never said "its all in the mind". I dont believe that about
aggravation or any other aspect of homeopathy. In general
terms, I was talking about our belief systems as a factor in how
we interact with our world. Its a big subject and my experience is
that homeopaths get very defensive when you bring anything like
this up in relation to homeopathic practice. I should have learned
my lesson by now!

I also am not silly enough to think that I am any different to
anyone else with regard to my belief systems and how they effect
my expreience.

I also never said I only use 6c and 12c. I use 3c to the very
highest but rarely higher than CM.

And yes, I am wary of people who frequently quote the Organon
verbatim! It reminds me of a sort of fundamentalism about
which I have unhealthy beliefs.

A last little thought.....when I was Registrar of the Society of
Homeopaths, if someone had submitted 10 of Hahnemann's
cases for admittance to the Register, I would have failed them!

Nothing wrong with quoting the Organon and why on earth would you have
failed 10 of Hahnemann's cases. What kind of power is that?

Robin
That is exactly WHAT IS WRONG with the Society of Homeopaths in UK.

It has gone far away from Hahnemannian Homoeopathy and has become all things
to all men.

Don't forget how the Advertising Standards Agency took SoH to task for
saying one thing on its publications and its senior members doing the other.
So concepts such as single remedy etc have been lost and poly pharmacy is
in.

All I can say is shame on SoH.

I concur with Joy that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being able to
quote the Organon. What is wrong is that many members of SoH have not read
the Organon cover to cover even once. Few have deep understanding of the
Principles of Homoeopathy. Yet they are Registered with SoH and are free to
treat our nearest and dearest. (It fills me with fear!).

I would be most interested in finding out why you would fail Hn's cases -
obviously with some presentations he does not give enough detail - but even
cases in SoH publication suffer the same fault!
