I just wanted to give a great big thank you to everyone who posted the
lists of pharmacies for me. I am going to print them up to have on
hand. I am going to order from overseas, either Helios or
Ainsworth. Coming to Canada will take approx the same amount of time from
the US or overseas...but is much cheaper. Again I am much obliged to you
for taking the time for me!

Scotland --- family run;) .

Sheilagh Creasy checked for me, to make sure they were a sound pharmacy -
i.e. made rem's properly, etc..and gave me the Okay;).

you. I've never had a problem getting whatever I've needed when this was the

a bit less than Helios and Ainsworths last I checked. And, they never
quibble if there is a problem (i.e. once a remedy arrived and the lid had
come loose..contaminating another remedy whose lid was also loose..and they
replaced both with no question!).

So, that's another alternative for you;).

hi dear rosemary, sorry it has taken me so long to reply. i know others
have already responded to you, but thought i would do so here too.
everything i know about LM's i have learned from dr. luc deschepper, who
teaches about them extensively and with whom i studied for three years. re
bottle sizes; he teaches you can use 4 ounce for non-snesitive patient, 8
ounce for more sensitive and even 16 ounce for very sensitive. of course,
you can use multiple cups also in taking the remedy , and that will help
control for sensitivity too. i use 4 ounce glass bottles.

LM1: i also use glycerin instead of alcohol when i am finishing making a
solution of lm1, that is i add one poppyseed pellet (#10 i believe they are;
and i take them out of their bottles with a scientific precicion tweezer
that i purchased from natural health supply, i think. not sure of this) i
put one pellet in the four ounce bottle. roll bottle around to make sure
pellet is in it, i can hear it. then i add distilled water up to line around
neck of bottle and then i add 14 drops of glycerin to preserve instead of
the alcohol. he says add 14 drops of everclear or unflavored vodka here to
preserve or glycerin for those patients who do not want alcohol in their
solutions. luc actually recommends adding 28 drops of glycerin, but i do
not, i add only the 14 and so far this has been fine.

LM2. etc:this is straight out of luc;s book too and is how i do it: i order
from natural health supply 1/2 dram bottles with regular caps, not dropper
caps and also 1 dram dropper cap bottles. blank poppyseed pellets (again #
10) by the pound or quarter pound. i also have empty bullet boxes to put
these remedies in.
now: "take one pellet of LM1 and put it in a one dram dropper bottle. this
will be your LM2 stock bottle. Add one drop of distilled water to moisten
it. Keep a special dropper labeled just for water and a different one for
alcohol; be sure not to measure either with the dropper belonging to the
stock bottle.
AFter it has dissolved , add 99 drops of alcohol (Everclear or unflavored
Vodka) {I, sheila use unflavored vodka}. Succuss the stock bottle 100
times. (I,. sheila do it against thepalm of my hand, counted evenly and in
rhythym and not too fast, as luc taught) Now fill a 1/2-dram bottle 1/3 full
with poppyseed blank pellets. When full, it holds 1500 pellets. When1/3
full it will be close enough to 500 pellets. Put one drop from your LM2
stock bottle in the bottle with the blank pellets. Immediately cap it and
start rolling it around to coat all the pellets. This is your LM2.
Be sure to label all your bottles: I use 1/4" round labels for the caps and
3/8" x5/8" labels for the sides, taping them on so they don't peel off when
inserted into the bullet box.
To make a remedy solution for the patient, take a new 4 ounce bottle and
proceed as i , sheila, have quoted dr. luc above. he uses 15 drops of
everclear of vodka here andas i stated, i use the glycerin instead.
i hope this clear and helpful. i do it and i love it. i get into the
rhythym. please, let me know if you have any other questions, best, sheila

I am answering inbetween >>>
One drop. I put this in a 2 dram bottle
No, next you wait until the pellet melts and add 100 drops of almost pure
alcohol.
I use Everclear which is 95% alcohol.

This bottle is succussed 100 times. (Label this Medicating Potency with
the name of the remedy and the LM number) One drop of this mixture is
added to a few hundred
small placebo pellets (we try to buy #10s which are poppy seed size, but
usually just end up with small pellets).
I use the 1/2 dram bottles for the tiny pellets, and usually put in two
drops of the liquid.

Be sure to label everything!

If you want to go up another potency, take one pellet from the mix you
just made and repeat.

One of these pellets will medicate a whole bottle of water for making the
remedy.
Oh, do yourself a favor and wear gloves when making up these remedies..

Now, that said, if you are not an experienced homeopath, DO NOT use LM
potencies. They are deep acting, very virulent potencies and not to be
used by beginning homeopaths. LM Medicating potencies are nasty if you
spill them on yourself. I spilled one about 6 years ago and still have
some residual symptoms.

You must use the high alcohol % or you will melt the placebo pellets when
you medicate them.
These little pellets or the Medicating Potency will last for years and
years.

Thanks for reply. Let me repeat back what I thought you said for iterating an LM potency:

--1 drop distilled into 2 dram vial or dropper vial
--1 poppy seed of previous LM potency, let melt
--add 100 drops of 95%
--100 succussions yields medicating liquid of next LM potency
--2 drops to medicate 2 drams of #10 pellets
--you say that volume of actual dropper bottle (I use 1 oz for client) matters not-1 pellet works on unspecified volume

Questions:
--I don't find explicit instructions in para 248 or thereabouts. I have some pharmacy instructions somewhere but havent been able to find. My interest is in obtaining the practical procedure to essentially reproduce what the pharm provides for cogency. The most critical items of course, are the diluting volume and the # of succussions. You are saying 1 drop into 2 drams. What is this dilution factor? __________ I remember from someplace that 1 drop in 500 is the proper factor (is this correct, and is this the 1 drop in 2 drams?) Or is the 1 drop in 500 incorrect?

--does it say in organon that pellet has to melt? (my experience with centesimals is that it does not have to dissolve to graft, and it is much easier to add alcohol to an uncharged bottle (avoids having to use intermediary throwaway dropper bottle used to avoid contaminating resevoir of blank alcohol)
--does organon say use pure alcohol (p 248 says can use alcohol or charcoal, and does not specify concentration, and is this merely a preservation measure (if so, which I would expect)-a lesser concentration (like 75% Everclear-highest proof available here) would work, as [ ] of organic matter (sugar) is really small.

--Regarding your proving sx from LM: I am a little surprised at residual sx from a spill of an LM 6 yrs ago. What was the remedy and potency?__________ I am extremely sensitive, have taken a slough of remedies, medicated 100's of vials yet my basic picture still shows through, and have not noticed any other unusual sx which were new at any point that seem to be due to a remedy and which are outside of the typical pattern. I am interested in how your VF manages to retain symptoms of this event and why.____________________ (if the remedy was X-ray, sx from provings apparently
have been really persistent, though that info, if I correctly recall, is from centisimals fairly high during a proving, and possibly repeated.) Just curious. LM's, while apparently dynamized such that they are more penetrating, are also supposed to excite the vital force less. The answer might not be easy to determine, but I wonder why a correct remedy taken would not have over time, obliterated any symptoms (apparently) grafted by proving.
Thanks for your info on this. Will factor in with other responses and see what I come up with.

potency. And in this way the process is continued until the twenty-ninth
is
reached. Then with 100 drops of alcohol by means of 100 succussions, an
alcoholic medicinal fluid is formed with which the thirtieth
dynamization
degree is given to properly moistened and dried sugar globules.

By means of this manipulation of crude drugs are produced preparations
which only in this way reach the full capacity to forcibly influence the

suffering parts of the sick organism. In this way, by means of similar
artificial morbid affection, the influence of the natural disease on the
life
principle present within is neutralized. By means of this mechanical
procedure, provided it is carried out regularly according to the above
teaching, a
change is effected in the given drug, which in its crude state shows
itself only as material, at times as unmedicinal material but by means
of such
higher and higher dynamization, it is changed and subtlized at last into
spirit-like 7 medicinal power, which, indeed, in itself does not fall
within our
senses but for which the medicinally prepared globule, dry, but more so
when dissolved in water, becomes the carrier, and in this condition,
manifests the healing power of this invisible force in the sick body.

1 One-third of one hundred grains sugar of milk is put in a glazed
porcelain mortar, the bottom dulled previously by rubbing it with fine,
moist sand. Upon this powder is
put one grain of the powdered drug to be triturated (one drop of
quicksilver, petroleum, etc.). The sugar of milk used for dynamization
must be of that special pure quality that
is crystallized on strings and comes to us in the shape of long bars.
For a moment the medicines and powder are mixed with a porcelain spatula
and triturated rather strongly,
six to seven minutes, with the pestle rubbed dull, then the mass is
scraped from the bottom of the mortar and from the pestle for three to
four minutes, in order to make it
homogeneous. This is followed by triturating it in the same way 6 - 7
minutes without adding anything more and again scraping 3 - 4 minutes
from what adhered to the mortar
and pestle. The second third of the sugar of milk is now added, mixed
with the spatula and again triturated 6 - 7 minutes, followed by the
scraping for 3 - 4 minutes and
trituration without further addition for 6 - 7 minutes. The last third
of sugar of milk is then added, mixed with the spatula and triturated as
before 6 -7 minutes with most
careful scraping together. The powder thus prepared is put in a vial,
well corked, protected from direct sunlight to which the name of the
substance and the designation of the
first product marked /100 is given. In order to raise this product to
/10000, one grain of the powdered /100 is mixed with the third part of
100 grains of powdered sugar of milk
and then proceed as before, but every third must be carefully triturated
twice thoroughly each time for 6 -7 minutes and scraped together 3 -4
minutes before the second and last
third of sugar of milk is added. After each third, the same procedure is
taken. When all is finished, the powder is put in a well corked vial and
labelled /10000, i.e., (I), each
grain containing 1/1,000,000 the original substance. Accordingly, such a
trituration of the three degrees requires six times six to seven minutes
for triturating and six times 3
-4 minutes for scraping, thus one hour for every degree. After one hour
such trituration of the first degree, each grain will contain 1/000; of
the second 1/10,000; and in the
third 1/1,000,000 of the drug used.* Mortar and spatula must be cleaned
well before they are used for another medicine. Washed first with warm
water and dried, both mortar
and pestle, as well as spatula are then put in a kettle of boiling water
for half an hour. Precaution might be used to such an extent as to put
these utensils on a coal fire
exposed to a glowing heat.

* These are the three degrees of the dry powder trituration, which if
carried out correctly, will effect a good beginning for the dynamization
of the medicinal substance.

2 The vial used for potentizing is filled two-thirds full.

3 Perhaps on a leather bound book.

4 They are prepared under supervision by the confectioner from starch
and sugar and the small globules freed from fine dusty parts by passing
them through a sieve. Then they
are put through a strainer that will permit only 100 to pass through
weighing one grain, the most serviceable size for the needs of a
homœopathic physician.

5 A small cylindrical vessel shaped like a thimble, made of glass,
porcelain or silver, with a small opening at the bottom in which the
globules are put to be medicated. They
are moistened with some of the dynamized medicinal alcohol, stirred and
poured out on blotting paper, in order to dry them quickly.

6 According to first directions, one drop of the liquid of a lower
potency was to be taken to 100 drops of alcohol for higher potentiation.
This proportion of the medicine of
attenuation to the medicine that is to be dynamized (100:1) was found
altogether too limited to develop thoroughly and to a high degree the
power of the medicine by means of
a number of such succussions without specially using great force of
which wearisome experiments have convinced me.

But if only one such globule be taken, of which 100 weigh one grain, and
dynamize it with 100 drops of alcohol, the proportion of 1 to 50,000 and
even greater will be had,
for 500 such globules can hardly absorb one drop, for their saturation.
With this disproportionate higher ratio between medicine and diluting
medium many successive strokes
of the vial filled two-thirds with alcohol can produce a much greater
development of power. But with so small a diluting medium as 100 to 1 of
the medicine, if many
succussions by means of a powerful machine are forced into it, medicines
are then developed which, especially in the higher degrees of
dynamization, act almost immediately,
but with furious, even dangerous violence, especially in weakly
patients, without having a lasting, mild reaction of the vital
principle. But the method described by me, on the
contrary, produces medicines of highest development of power and mildest
action, which, however, if well chosen, touches all suffering parts
curatively.* In acute fevers, the
small doses of the lowest dynamization degrees of these thus perfected
medicinal preparations, even of medicines of long continued action (for
instance, belladonna) may be
repeated in short intervals. In the treatment of chronic diseases, it is
best to begin with the lowest degrees of dynamization and when necessary
advance to higher, even more
powerful but mildly acting degrees.

* In very rare cases, notwithstanding almost full recovery of health and
with good vital strength, an old annoying local trouble continuing
undisturbed it is wholly permitted
and even indispensably necessary, to administer in increasing doses the
homœopathic remedy that has proved itself efficacious but potenized to a
very high degree by means of
many succussions by hand. Such a local disease will often then disappear
in a wonderful way.

7 This assertion will not appear improbable, if one considers that by
means of this method of dynamization (the preparations thus produced, I
have found after many laborious
experiments and counter-experiments, to be the most powerful and at the
same time mildest in action, i.e., as the most perfected) the material
part of the medicine is lessened
with each degree of dynamization 50,000 times yet incredibly increased
in power, so that the further dynamization of 125 and 18 ciphers reaches
only the third degree of
dynamization. The thirtieth thus progressively prepared would give a
fraction almost impossible to be expressed in numbers. It becomes
uncommonly evident that the material
part by means of such dynamization (development of its true, inner
medicinal essence) will ultimately dissolve into its individual
spirit-like, (conceptual) essence. In its crude
state therefore, it may be considered to consist really only of this
underdeveloped conceptual essence.
