Hirsuitism
Re: Hirsuitism
That's an idea. I've been experimenting with Cherry Plum on my mom, who has
dementia. Not the remedy this young woman needs, obviously, but I'll do
some research.
Peace,
Dale

Re: Hirsuitism
What about her serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels?
Research in FInland just this year, shows a correlation between this hormone and hirsuitism, plus predictive future PCOS, and a correlation between actual hirsuitism in PCOS, and this hormone, of 85%.
I would wonder whether a remedy from AMH would be useful.
Alternatively the remedy from ACTH may be useful, on the principle of similarity.
Basis:
PCOS and Cushigns syndrome are often confused....
In Cushings syndrome there are two main categories, one with hirsuitism and one without.
The hirsuitism in Cushigns is caused by ACTH (the pituitary or ectopic hormone which triggers adrenals to produce too much cortisol). The cushigs syndromes involving either adrenal cortisol or tumor cortisol does not have hirsuitism.
There are provings of ACTH, (and of cortisol - hirsuitism being one of only 8 different rubrics beetween them) in O A Julian repertory that might be of interest.
(and also some other drug pictures, for example chlorpromazine is proved and has many similar features to ACTH/cortisol.)
I am not aware whether AMH has been made into a remedy much less proved, but I hope you find her a soliution.
Hope this helps.
Namaste,
Irene

Re: Hirsuitism
I'll check with her about the testing of her testosterone levels, although I would imagine it was done by an endocrinologist. Is it Vit. K1 or K2 that's supposed to help PCOS and insulin resistance?

Re: Hirsuitism
Hi,
I had a male patient who had hair on the outer part of his forearm that was about four inches long. It is not facial hair, but a bit odd.
He has many odd hormonal features such as hard painful nipples. I gave him conium which took care of the hormonal problems but not the hair on his arm which is not a problem. I am just wondering.
Seems to me that facial hair is quite common. Functionally it should not be a problem. It is only a cultural problem. Expecting homeopathy to fix it does not sound right to me.

Re: Hirsuitism
The reference mentioned K1.
Since reading about it, I've upped K2 to 4x/day.
It definitely helps insulin resistance, much less tired, much more energy.
Also, had blood sugar go from 250 to 150 but that may more Lachesis related.
The better energy is from K2 as Lach is very calming.
