However, there is some evidence using one of the Lyme nosodes immediately can stop it: borrelia burgdorferi.

Peter Alex wrote a book on the treatment of Lyme; not sure what it's called. he thought aurum ars was the specific, most times, for Lyme. others claim Ledum. it is an extraordinarily devious ailment and there's a huge underground in the US that avoids the regular doctors and goes to special medical doctors who keep the patients on antibiotics for months if not years. my daughter got Lyme last summer and i nearly panicked when i saw all the frightening stuff on the internet. this year, my whole family is going to homeopathically 'vaccinate' in the manner of Isaac Golden to prevent it again. we're out in tick country here.

i think like syphilis if it's a fresh infection, it's rather straightforward, but if you've had it a while, it becomes 'hydra-headed'.

Hi Tanya
Thanks - I'll get my friend to search for this book. Obviusly, she'll give what seems indicated, but I think she wants to have some knowledge of the disease as well.
Didn't know you'd had Lyme's Disease.

There are actually several articles about treating Lyme disease by various homeopaths in the Members Only section of the National Center for Homeopathy website. Teresa (Northern VA)

Hi,

A homeopath from Philadelphia, Beth (last name?) who claims to have treated many limes cases, stated that the best results came from:

If bitten less than 6 mon use the borellia; if after 6 mon use the persons constitutional.

Liz,
Will Taylor's piece uses RADAR software to illustrate that the Ericaceae family, which includes Ledum, is useful in treating Lyme. The book Tanya mentions is "The Homeopathic Treatment of Lyme Disease," which relies a lot, but not exclusively, on German experience with the disease.
The best source of info on Lyme is probably the section on Borrellia burgdorferii in Vermeulen's "Monera."
Having treated a fair amount of Lyme (and having had it myself twice), I agree with what Tanya says: you take the case and use the indicated remedy.
Peace,
Dale

lyme has turned out to be an insidious and critically disruptive disease. i like will taylor's
approaching it as an epidemic and looking for remedies from that perspective. but it still is
a non-contagious disease and needs to be assessed with each individual; ie, the constitutional
remedy.
