She decided to take her fostered kids off the meds, being a compassionate
soul.
Being that they had the power, ACS yanked these kids from her loving
home.
So much for *informed consent*, eh?
Let's hope the film airs in the US. Particularly now when revelations
about
Merck and Vioxx are fresh in everyone's mind.

Yes. I have been treating HIV infected patients, mostly after the AIDS symptoms have developed with a protocol I devised in the early 1980s. I potentized prednisone, Immuran, and Cyclosporine. I use EAV equipment or muscle testing on my patients to determine which works best. Usually the 200th or higher potency in weekly or more frequent doses performs well. Each of these drugs have been extensively proven and documented in the allopaths book of provings -- the PDR. I decided on these three drugs based upon the similarity of their side effects and other primary effects noted by the manufacturers. They are three of the great similars to AIDS. I also make isopathic remedies of the HIV (formerly HTLV-3) viruses as well. These I usually administer in the 1M or higher potencies.
My results have been almost uniformly good with these remedies. Clinically, there is a large drop in total viral count, a rise in total T4 and a healthy inversion of the T4/T8 ratio in as little as a week or two of treatment. The patients report symptom reduction, strong sense of well being, reduced anxiety, better appetite, reduction and elimination of secondary infections, and over all better living and outlook within a few days to a month of treatment. I find that Ferrum phos low as an intercurrent is frequently indicated as well. After the patient shows good symptomatic and clinical improvement, I prescribe their constitutional remedy in very high potency, usually two doses on successive mornings.

and the Ferrum low? and the constitutional high? I have no prejudice one way
or the other but how do you come to that formula?

I intended to qualify the potency remarks with "usually" since it's a recollection of treatments for various AIDS patients rather than a manual. Of course, we have long known that specifics start revealing themselves in epidemics (and AIDS is certainly pandemic). That the potentization of the three allopathic drugs were similars to the symptom manifestations of a large base of AIDS patients was apparent then, and remains so today. I think that most homeopaths who were working with current allopathic pharmacology at the time that AIDS was making itself known (was called "Slims Disease" for awhile) saw the similarity of Cyclosporine. I had for years earlier found that the pathogeneses of many cancers from patients I was treating were highly associated with episodic use of prednisone (which our allopathic cousins were handing out like M&Ms then and now). AIDS appeared to me to be a form of contagious cancer.
In testing the patients for their responses to proposed uses of the various drugs I had added to my own homeopathic pharmacopeias (the cylcosporine, Immuran, and prednisone) I also tested the patients for potencies and frequency of use. Almost all tested for these remedies moderately high. I attributed this to the emotional impact and stigma that was associated with AIDS at the time. Patients and the media tended to exonerate those AIDS victims who had received the exposure from "non-sinful" means such as tainted blood transfusions. AIDS was being vilified by misguided religious zealots as a punishment from God for illicit drug use and homosexuality or heterosexual promiscuity. Thus many of my patients then and now carried a burden of expected emotional societal blame. As you know, the clearing of the higher levels of the disease manifestation is an adaptation of Hering's Law (from the inside out, top down, more vital "organs.")
There were exceptions to the higher potency from patients who shrugged off the implied societal disapprovals and had their own strong ego identities and defenses. Even so, I never found any patients who tested for the remedies lower than 30th.
In the case of administering the viral isopathic remedies, I must admit that my tendency to go high (1M and often a great deal higher) was based at least partially on the early days when we made the remedies from virus cultures and drugs such as Meddorhinum were unsafe at less than 500th. I seldom give viral remedies (even those made by electronic imprinters) at less than 200. I expect I'm just an old dog used to the few tricks I know.
I tend to give the oxygen carriers such as Ferrum phos. and Kali mur. low since I feel there's a biochemical need as much as a biophysical one in most patients for whom they are homeopathic (I'm a recovering herbalist from some decades past). I make most of my own remedies and then rely upon the patients tested response to determine the final potencies. However, in so many clinical uses with HIV positive individuals, the lower potencies in tissue specific remedies has been verified time and again. Likewise, I sometimes use sarcodes such as the PMGs from companies like Standard Process and find them very useful in the material or very low potency doses.
Finally (and forgive me for being so long winded, but I used to get paid by the word) I have always given patients their constitutional remedies in very high potencies. I would think that the very nature of constitutional prescribing would make that somewhat obvious. (I realize what a naive statement calling any acquired homeopathic prescribing rules as "somewhat obvious" might seem). But when we seek to dynamize a human being with their constitutional remedy, we are aiming first at their spiritual indices as reflected in the somatic tendencies, and in my opinion, and experience, everything in between is so formed. Thus, for example, the Argentum nit. constitutional patient has his embryonic angel wings and his panties both in a bunch as he stands in the physical world with his fist clinched and his hair trigger temper ready to fire on any inferred slight. .The Lycodopium constitutional patient probably has his third spiritual eye in his nasal passage so he can spiritually look down his arrogant nose at the rest of creation. Likewise, I suspect that the Hindu Kali form of the divinity of the great Shiva is a for sure a dancing dark haired, black eyed Sepia. So, to move spiritual mountains, use the high potency constitutional.
We can never forget that our own reason for existence as doctors is to heal our patients. Hahnemann said we need to do that in the fastest, least aggravating, and least erudite manner. We could impress even our allopathic wordsmiths by waxing eloquently about the physiological processes and microbiology of the action of our remedial modalities, but to remain true to our calling we must keep our utterances and sharing in the works of our patients. That's why I was so explicit in giving "usual" potencies. Hope this was bigger in light and lower in smoke as explanations go.
