I have a patient who seems to have serious PMT during ovulation - on days 11-14 rather than before menses. All I can fine is one Rx Pit Ant which does not seem to suit. and the very broad rubric Ailments at menopause so I am asking if anyone has come across this before. The Rx she has done best on is Chocolate 1M.

Yes, I've come across this several times, and also haven't known how to repertorize it. It was a key symptom in a couple of these cases. So I'll be really happy too if someone can shed some light on it.

A starting point is "Ailments during ovulation":

But there are no good mind rubrics "during ovulation."

This would seem a good one to start with. I have always gone with what
emotion is most highly signified at the time of ovulation, cross referenced
both << before and after menses and also included the 'periodicity' rubrics
if there is an exact number of days involved. I would also be looking at
what happens when the menses appear as this then helps to open up the
picture.

And there is usually something else in the case which will help confirm.

Chocolate is usually << during menses, this is the vulnerable time for them.

I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote my original post!! I meant I had found a rubric Ailments at ovulation - the same one as Rosemary found. Obviously the "Menopause was a Freudian slip

This patient has no problems just before/during/after menses - it is just day 11-14 which I presume is ovulation when the problem is. I have been treating her for a couple of years. This symptom I would say has emerged since she came off the pill. The feelings towards her family at this time are Chocolate ones. The problem was so serious that she has been put on an antidepressant Lustral that her GP reckons will help it . He is meant to be monitoring it for a couple of months. She has been much better in herself since the Chocolate last month- (she has had it before last year) except at this time. It is a complicated case and although it is one I have written about before I do not feel I can write on this board about what has happened recently.

Inevitably though, ovulation is both after and before menses depending which
part of the cycle it is nearest to.

Would this be a NBWS the 'pill' - then a number of other rx come to mind.

to family members and is there any Birth Control Pill history?? When did
this condition begin??

Not that she has told me

On the pill until recently. No problems with this on the pill

I think it has been there a long time, whenever she has not been on the pill.
