Dear Farbod,
in your message
you ask about "Leibes- und Seeelenbeschaffenheit"
It is a term taken from Hahnemanns Organon § 136, the English
translation by Boericke gives "corporeal and mental constitution".
Furthermore you write:
That's what I thought, and that was the point I tried to make, that Ign.
had been of some use in the case, because it lead to that peculiar
symptom, which made it able to find the similimum Dig., a layer beneath.
I think this symptom showed a deeper layer, which was first covered by
the traumatic shock.
Artificial disease symptoms are symptoms, which are caused by a remedy
not similar enough in that case, the wrong remedy make the patient
undergo a kind of remedy proving. (I, however, think that was not the
case with Ignatia, "palpitation with anxiety" was rather an indicator to
find the way to the similimum.)
As I tend to think, the best thing to is to repertorize the whole case
again anew. Thus symptoms which are most likely caused by the last
unsimilar remedy given have not - or only slightly - to be taken into
account.
This case might illustrate the problem:
I remember an anorexian young lady, who came to me after having been
treated at an athroposophic clinic. At that clinic ALL the anorexian and
bulimic girls were given nit. ac. (probably in "D-Potenzen" /
'X-potencies'), without making any difference and surely without
thorough repertorization!!! The reaction of my patient was that she had
to go to the toilet all the time. Unfortunately, nobody at that clinic
thought that it was an artificial disease symptom "frequent attacks of
diarrhoea" (Kent), they thought that this young lady was bulimic and
prevented her from going to the toilet. On hearing that her parents took
her home. What else this remedy did to that young lady was difficult to
find out, so I decided not to take any symptoms of anxiety into account,
for it was not possible to decide whether they were artificial or
whether she had been suffering from them before. Her parents told me
that her mental condition had worsened severely during her stay at that
athroposophic clinic. Luckily, enough rubrics indicating Sulphur could
be found and that remedy in C 200 did its job nicely.
Thus I would say artificial disease symptoms might not be taken into
consideration, and are best sorted out at first, therefore in such a
case the first thing to check would be the Materia Medica of the last
unsimilar remedy given.
All the best
Claudia

Dear Piet,
many thanks for the two article you've send me. It was very interesting
and helpful to read them.

Dear David,
manny thanks for your excellent message. Great!!! It is not only very
informative as far as homeopathy is concerned, not only an excellent
comment on keyterms of Hahnhemann's Organon, but I find it as a whole in
its "Gesamtheit", in its underlying concept of man as well as its
understanding approach to healing very spiritual, you seem to be an
individual quite far on the way to Self-Realizatiion. Wow!!!
Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts with us
