another suggestion
Liver flukes from sheep I think, when they end up in the toilet bowel water,
explode, and left are black threads of eggs - I read this once and it stayed
in my mind
apparently it is common in UK - usually from infected vegetable matter -
particularly watercress? Found this

How interesting! ! In the case of this baby I would doubt it was the cause
but i remember black threads coming out of a bite in a child's ankle and mum
actually did put them under the microscope but still couldn't make out what
they were. I wonder if it was worms from the liver fluke in this case? I
can't remember what I was treating the child for but it ma have been
molluscum/
