Hi Chris,
I agree that a classical homeopath should not *usually* be prescribing
combos -- tho we've been given some examples of situations where it seems
appropriate and useful. Combos do not move the person toward "cure", and
*that* is what we are after, not just temporary relief!
But do you feel they ought to be removed from the shelves, that they should
be made "illegal" and unavailable?

In the US we are also trying to move toward that. It's a long road,
especially because "we" are still pretty fragmented, self-centered and
combative.
Now if adverse reactions to *drugs* got them pulled from the shelves...
Okay I know, they will be -- eventually. But on strength of *one patient*?
And that is what will happen more and more, if the pharmaceutical interests
have their way.
Meaning that homeopaths should not prescribe them, or that they should be
taken off all of the shelves? Has that happened?

Yes, and these ("just want to make it stop") are just the peole we've been
talking about. Are you saying that those folks are better off with
Paracetemol (whatever that is) than with trying a combo?
I don't have much familiarity with the situation in France, except that I
gather the "real choice for the consumer" has already been done away with,
as they are limited to use of (if I recall right) 30c and below; and if
singles aren't available OTC, then yeah, choices have been limited.
Are you saying they'd be better off without having the mixes available
*either*? I'd have thought it's better to *have* choices, and learn how to
use them?
I would love to hear what led to this situation in France? Surely "the
commercial interests of pharmacies" is a big part, and it is *that* which
would love to start whittling away at *our* available choices (speaking of
US, assume it is general).
So what are you saying we should do -- ban combos, or ??
