The original poster of the nutritional suggestions for lowering high blood
pressure did not mean to spam. He sent in a URL that has been grabbed
By ¹domain grabbers¹, which is a very Œpopular¹ recent event.

Domain grabbing is big business these days. If your site registration lapses
one bit someone's automated program buys it. A page of adverts is then put
up. This takes advantage of people's previous bookmarks of popular sites.
Ready-made traffic numbers.

Learn to understand what is spam and what isn't and don't be so quick to tar
it all with the same brush. Now that I am wise to this kind of thing I check
my bookmarks before I post them, and I have hundreds of them.

The actual site that Armen posted is:

http://www.emaxhealth.com/34/182.html

And it contains rather relevant and good nutritional information. Not
Homeopathic, for sure, but Regimen and diet have always been part and parcel
of Hahnemann¹s medicine.

"not homeopathic, for sure"
Yes, I agree!

Anyone with half a brain can find a LIFETIME of reading information on
nutrition scattered across the internet.
There is no need to post URLs on diet here, nor is it a good idea to
support off-topic posting in general(!) otherwise, we'll have people
posting regarding vitamin sales, miracle-herbs, and so on.

If you (anyone) want/need a discussion list on diet, there are thousands
to choose from, or start your own.

Thanks in advance for posting ON topic.

Dear Sara,

Thank you for the information and the breath of sanity. And, Theresa,
thank you also - I haven't stopped laughing. Spam (and, yes, I remember
the tinned variety from childhood with disgust!!) may not be good for
heart disease but, with so many people suffering from heart problems
unnecessarily, whatever can be gleaned about it and shared by health
professionals is surely valid for discussion on a site such as this.
What is the point of treating people who constantly create more health
problems for themselves with poor diet, lifestyle and water and undo any
good we have done perhaps because we have not been able to answer some
of their questions? Are we trying to help people or line our pockets
because they need to return for more treatment when they become ill
again? Of course, we need to evaluate and consider carefully all the
research being done but to ignore it all leaves us open to the kind of
criticism we probably make about conventional medicine and its often
blinkered approach.

David, having listened to all your comments about homeopathy being so
important to you as the only valid method of treatment, etc. etc. over
the past couple of weeks, I was amazed to visit your web site and find
you advocating your craniosacral therapy and massage also
.................

I have deep respect for homeopathy and for my patients. I am hoping to
learn from this site what conditions and circumstances would suggest
that I recommend someone goes to a homeopath (and I am realising that
the boundaries I imagined are constantly being stretched) - and whatever
else the site produces that is useful for me to know. The quality of
discussion has been very impressive and the attitude of those
participating has been, on the whole, very encouraging and admirable and
made me want to learn more and more about homeopathy. I would also like
to thank all of those who have contacted me off list - the group
obviously contains some fascinating viewpoints which some are a little
concerned about expressing officially, which is rather sad but which I
understand and respect. Perhaps that makes the group even more
interesting.

I am grateful for the whole spectrum.

Dave's point is that this is a list for studying homeopathy and RELATED
topics. If other things are allowed to creep in, the list will gradually
cease to be a homeopathy list and, instead, will be a list devoted to
whatever people want to write in about. This is an easy thing to understand
and, I am in complete accord with him on this. If people want to discuss
other topics, they can join other lists that discuss such things and/or
start their own list. Advocating such things as creams and potions and other
methodologies to eliminate skin eruptions without curing the underlying
problem is suppressive and, is a destructive and allopathic approach. The
only purpose such posts serve, in my opinion, is to point out the dangers
inherent in such thinking and the divergence from homeopathy that they
represent. Comments about the necessity of educating people toward adopting
a healthy and wholistic lifestyle can be seen as helping to eliminate a
"maintaining cause" that can retard or prevent cure and, thus, have value
and interest for the homeopath.

Dear Allen,

I don't disagree with anything you have said. And when I suggested a
cream, I was not suggesting it as anything other than a "first aid" item
for a suffering patient, with the long-term solution being found via
homeopathy. I made that clear in a later mail and such items are often
used by homeopaths in such a way, I understand. Someone else asked a
question about other treatment methods interacting with homeopathy, and
I replied giving my experience. I also think that is a valid and
related subject.

There is obviously difficulty with terminology - we all have different
definitions of the word "related" in this context as it is a highly
subjective term.

But, as I said, I don't disagree with you. Particularly when you
mention diet etc.
