dying cat

Post by Dr. Jill »

Dear Tanya:
Other remedies for ascides (fluid in the belly)...try apis, repeated in 6c or 12c 4 times a day. Opium might also help with dying (or reviving). Arsenicum high or low potency repeated frequently will help with passing. Good luck. sometimes the animals hold on and need to go to the vet to be euthanized. Best, Jill

thanks so much, Jill. the owner, who happens to be my daughter,
is in a state of grief with the loss and is reconciling herself to lose the
cat. if the vet she saw is right, the cat may have a cancer (tumor).
i am thinking it could be liver stuff too, and may not be water being
held. or any combination. actually, i would have sent her to you, since
she is
in the city, but finances are very prohibitive. and the cat is 14 yrs old,
so
the prognosis may not be too good. i do have opium on hand as well
as arsenicum. she is bringing the cat upstate to me this morning, so i
will be able to assess a little better when they get here.

i may need support after this session!
