<< By the way ¿What's the best book you can recommend on Materia Medica? I've
read Kents MM, part of Herings and Allen Encyclopedia, half book of
Vithoulkas first volume on MM viva (and 5 other books), Pharmacoinamics of Huges,
Vijnosky's MM, translated to spanish Hahneman MM pura, Sankarans soul of Remedies,
and a lot from Hom School Argentina. I use strict single doses, only one time
(usually), 30c- 200c potencies.
I repeat this question in the list group. Thanks for your help.

Good things you wrote above. There is no ONE Materia Medica being the best.
The knowledge comes from all of them plus your own, meticulous, experience.
Then mix them up.You' ll get a very juicy thing. You' ll be astonished.
Kind regards, Dr.medic.Viorel V. Bucur (www.dr-bucur.com).

Hi Dr. Bucur,

I am very interested in why your experience is so different from mine in
this regard. In my experience -- and also the training I got from my first
homeopath -- six months for a 200c is not at all out of line. if it doesn't
hold that long, I will look to see why -- maybe the remedy is not suitably
deep-acting, or maybe there are limiting factors in the case -- extreme
stress, lifestyle errors, antidoting factors, or impaired organs. Any of
these situations could necessitate more frequent dosing, but if I don't see
any of those, then I start looking for a better remedy. It's been a good
"early warning system" for me several times, where the alternative would
have been to repeat and repeat, with the action becoming weaker each time,
until finally I had to find that better remedy anyway.

Perhaps the cases you treat have more pathology; because I was given this
guideline as applying to functional cases *only*, and as I said, somewhat
variable if circumstances are extreme.

But I have certainly had 200s acting well for six months and more, in myself
and others, over the years. (Maybe I was taught to "wait" thru changes that
others would see as signal to "repeat"? It's possible. My experience
doesn't go far enough to speak with certainty about this, except what I've
already said above.)

4-6 weeks to me sounds *very* short time for re-dosing with a high potency,
tho of course I realize that sometimes it's necessary (severe diseases and
as above). Dunno what else to say...

Best,
Shannon

4.7.4.
I stick to my opinion regarding this thing. I suppose, you saw more than
there was in the case. The borders are blurred very often, so zealous persons do
see more than there is offered on the plate, overinterpreting some symptoms. I
did this too at the very beginning, being extremely serious, devoted and doing
everything 120% in my life, I did it this way in this situation too.
I'd say, citing somebody else : let's lay back and see the broad picture or
"less is more" - old german saying.
Now, I suppose I owe you something on Causticum. The difference between
Causticum and Ph is that both having severe heartburn (also in Sulphur and Ca-ca
both related to Ph as "tuberculinic" but less intensive) Ph may get oesophagus
cancer (eventually on a Barrett osophagus) while Causticum does not but gets
this terrible scarring.
Causticum is very political, idealistic and even reaching borders to anarchy,
revolution, things like these, out of conviction NOT of other reasons - this
is central. So he is very undiplomatic due to to-deep-convictions (you know,
people having too deep convictions are not good for politics, not being
flexible enough ; deep convictions are all right but they should not be too deep. I'd
compare here the germans vs. the french - but this is another story ...)
while Ph is the diplomat par excellence being much more superficial (typical for
Ph is that he can be very easy influenced along his trail, as good as always
losing a mid -or longterm target from his sight because he is attracted all the
time by something else, something new, just ocurring in his life. They do
change very often - jobs, qualifications, seldom doing something good and to the
end!). They have a problem sticking to something because they are so
superficial - so the extreme desire to travel, to move, getting itchy after 2-3 weeks
same place, getting bored easily, no discipline on the personal level. So in
politics, they usually are the middle-men, in the back and in the dark, mediating
from one to another, which they very well can. Not in the front row - for
this, they are to shy. Ph always excuses himself for disturbing you when he gives
you a call. He can be spotted almost from the phone already ...
Examples Causticum : "I do not eat and buy things from Israel because they
opress the Palestinians" or "I do not want to have children because the
environment is so spilled and poluted, that they would get sick and die" - Green Party
activist, etc. These people react to the smallest unjustice seen at street or
neigbourhood level for ex. One may find them in reader's letters written to
different newpapers or magazines or gazzettes, answering to certain themes
previously written there and commenting in this typical, principial,
justice/unjustice way.
They have, in a certain way, a "hero" psychical structure. As already
mentioned, they do give up their own money and fortune - no matter how big - for a
important idea worth fighting for, at least in their eyes. Beside this, even
"terrorists" have families and children which they love and for whom they do care.
Causticum is one sort (this sort) of politician, the others are usually
Thuja, Lycopodium and Ph. The rest do not make it that "high" - they get lost
underway ... There is just one (BIGGEST!) Ca-ca politician around ... at least from
the ones I know. Always gets wet eyes when mentioning the state he comes
from - this feature is so typical Ca-ca, that the Dg already stays. Kind regards,
Dr. medic. Viorel V. Bucur.
